Four-year undergraduate BE Programme is carried out in one of the constituent college of Bangalore University famously known as “University Visvesvaraya College of Engineering”. You have an option to choose one from the five courses provideed in BE engineering programme. You shall be selected on the basis of the rank allotted to you after appearing in the Common admission test (CAT) organizeed by Karnataka Examinations Authority. There are 570 AICTE sanctioned seats for the BE Programme.

There are 40 AICTE sanctioned seats for the B.Arch. Programme. You required to score an at least of 40% of Marks in National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) i.e. 80 out of 200.

Eligibility Criteria for BE Programme: You required to pass in your 2 PUC/ 12th/ Equivalent Exam with English as one of the Languages and obtain an At Least of 45% of Marks in aggregate in Physics and Mathematics along with Chemistry / Bio-Technology / Biology / Electronics / Computer.
If you belong to SC, ST, Cat- 1, 2A, 2B, 3A and 3B category, you required having 40% aggregate in Physics and Mathematics along with Chemistry / Bio-Technology / Biology / Electronics / Computer.
Apart from your aggregate marks in your higher secondary exam, you required appearing in Karnataka Qualifying Examination and Common Entrance Test (CET).
Bachelor of Architecture [B.Arch.]
Eligibility Criteria for B.Arch. Programme: You required to pass in your 2 PUC/ 12th/ Equivalent Exam with English as one of the Languages and obtain an At Least of 50% of Marks in aggregate in Physics and Mathematics along with Chemistry / Bio-Technology / Biology / Electronics / Computer.
If you belong to SC, ST, Cat- 1, 2A, 2B, 3A and 3B category, you required having 45% aggregate in Physics and Mathematics along with Chemistry / Bio-Technology / Biology / Electronics / Computer.
You also required to score an at least of 40% of Marks in National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) i.e. 80 out of 200.
National Aptitude Test in Architecture or NATA is an All India level entrance examination organizeed by the Council of Architecture for 200 marks, for admission of aspirants to the First year of five-year full-time B. Arch. Marks Card (by boldly writing their CET Number on the NATA scorecard) to the KEA either in person or only via ‘Speed Post’ within the stipulated time.
The Architecture seats in Government, Aided and Un-aided institutions of the State are provideed ONLY to the aspirants who have appeared for NATA and who have obtained the prescribed at least marks in both Qualifying Examination and NATA.
Therefore, if you seeking to be considered for allocation of Architecture seats, you should compulsorily appear for NATA, and should obtain a at least of 40% marks including SC, ST, Category-I and OBC category aspirants in NATA (In other words one has to secure an at least of 80 MARKS OUT OF 200).

Application fees for BE Programme: Rs.650/- for General Category and Rs.550/- for SC/ST/Category I aspirants.
Application fees for BE Programme are Rs.650/- and for National Aptitude Test in Architecture NATA is Rs.1250/-.
Step 1: You required selecting “CET-2018 Under Graduate Online Application” by browsing URL on Website http://kea.kar.nic.in.
Step 2: Please click on “New User? Click Here to Register” on the home page of online application form. The same copy should be produced during document verification along with the copy of the Challan (KEA copy). You need to offer all the need information in the aspirant registration form and submit.
For your BE Programme admission, you required to submit your Common Admission Test score and for your B.Arch. Programme admission you required to submit your score in National Aptitude Test in Architecture or NATA.
Aspirants of Karnataka origin have to pay an amount of Rs. 650/- for General and OBC (Rs.500/- for SC / ST Category-1). After completion of the above steps, please take the draft printouts, cautiously verify the entries made by you and if any changes are needed you can do so by login in any number of times before selecting the declaration.
Step 8: Aspirants have to take the printout of the Challan copy, which is in triplicate. The bank will retain bank copy of the Challan respectively and handover the remaining two copies of the Challan to the aspirants.
Step 9: You have to take the printout of the application form on A-4 Size sheet of paper. The aspirants have to pay the requisite fee in any of the disciplines of specified banks. Affix your recent Passport size Photograph, signature, Left Hand Thumb Impression on the space offered and attest it with Principal seal and signature from the college where you have studied 2nd PU or 12th Standard on the space offered in the printed form. After successful registration, you will receive an Application number and User-ID to your registered mobile phone number and email-id and same will be displayed on the screen.
Step 3: A Login Prompt will be displayed and you need to enter the User ID and Password created by you and Login.
Step 4: Once you have successfully logged in, “Student information” will be displayed, in which you required to start entering the need information.
Step 5: Once you have finished the student information entries, you will have to save the entries made.
Step 6: Please enter all the study details and select “save and next” button.
Step 7: After successful saving the study details, you will have to upload the scanned images of Photograph, aspirant signature, your Left-Hand Thumb Impression and Parent Signature and select “save and next” button.
Selection Procedure for BE Programme: In order to enrol yourself in a B-Tech Programme in any of the Government / University / Private Aided / Private Un-Aided Professional Educational Institutions in the State of Karnataka you required to appear in Karnataka Common entrance test. You can apply in Bangalore University’s constituent college “University Visvesvaraya College of Engineering” on the basis of the rank allotted to you. You will be allotted rank on the basis of taking marks in equal proportions in QE and CET in PCM (Physics Chemistry Mathematics) subjects.

Selection Procedure for B.Arch. Programme: In order to enrol yourself in a B-Arch Programme in any of the Government / University / Private Aided / Private Un-Aided Professional Educational Institutions in the State of Karnataka you required to appear in Karnataka Common entrance test. You can apply in Bangalore University’s constituent college “University Visvesvaraya College of Engineering” on the basis of the rank allotted to you. You will be allotted rank on the basis of taking marks in equal proportions in all subjects in Qualifying Examination and NATA.
