Dr. B.R. College of Engineering has 16 departments including undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. The university has 28 departments providing 55 courses and the College of Science and Technology has 19 departments, which provides 44 courses. Ambedkar University is a state university which was founded in 1927.

Aspirants can get admission to the above-mentioned courses via AUCET  common entrance test organized by the university. Aspirants can register themselves to the above-mentioned courses by submitting the registration fee of INR 500/-.

Eligibility Criteria
B.Ed

  • The aspirant must have finished B.A./B.Sc./B.Com./B.C.A./ B.Sc. (Home Science)/BBM and/or the Master Degree in Commerce/Social Sciences/ Humanities/Sciences with at least 50% of marks.
  • The aspirant must possess a degree in B.E/B.Tech with Science/ Mathematics as one of the subjects or any other qualification with minimum 55% of marks and 40% marks (for SC/ST/BC/PH category aspirants) in the qualifying examination.
  • Aspirants appear for final year examination in the qualifying examination of bachelor’s degree can also apply.

Age limit eligibility: Aspirant should have finished 21 years. There is no upper age limit.

Bachelor of Education [B.Ed] (Special Education)

  • The aspirant must secure at least 50% marks in bachelor’s degree and master’s degree in Sciences/Social Sciences/Humanities/Commerce and 40% marks (for SC/ST/BC/PH aspirants) in the qualifying examination.
  • Aspirants appearing for a qualifying examination can also apply.

Master of Arts [MA] (Rural Development)

The aspirant must possess a degree in B.A. with Rural Development or Economics or Social Work or Sociology or Statistics or Public Administration as one of the subjects or B.Com. B.B.M. or PGDCRS or B.Sc. (Agriculture) from this university or any other recognized university.

Master of Arts [MA] (Economics)

The aspirant must possess the degree in B.A. with Economics as one of the subjects from this university or any other recognized university.

Aspirant must possess degree in B.A. (special English)/ B.A/ B.Sc./ B.Com./ B.A.(OL)/ B.F.A./ B.A.L.(with Part-I General English for a minimum of 200 marks) from this university or any other recognized university.

Master of Arts [MA] (Social Work)

The aspirant must possess the degree in B.A. Social Work / Social Sciences as one of the subjects / B.Sc/ B.C.A. / B.Com./B.A.L./B.F.A./ B.B.M from this university or any other recognized university.

Master of Arts [MA] (Telugu)

The aspirant must possess a degree in B.A./B.Com./B.Sc./ with Telugu as a subject of study or B.A. (OL) or Bhasha Praveen with Part I Telugu of B.A. or B.Com or Bhasha Praveena with P.O.L from this university or any other recognized university.

M.Com

The aspirant must possess a degree in B.Com. (Including vocational and restructured courses), B.B.M from this university or any other recognized university.

Master of Library and Information Science'M.Lib]

The aspirant must possess any graduate degree recognized by AU from this university or any other recognized university.

LLM

The aspirant must possess any graduate degree recognized by AU from this university or any other recognized university.

M.Ed

Aspirant must possess degree in B.Ed/ B.A. Ed/ B.Sc.Ed/ B.E.I.Ed / D.Ed. with graduation / B.E. & B.Tech recognized by NCTE/RCI with aggregate 50% of marks.

Master of Science [M.Sc] (Mathematics)

The aspirant must possess a degree in B.A/B.Sc mathematics from this university or any other recognized university.

The aspirant must possess a degree in B.Sc. /B.Sc. (Vocational) with Chemistry/Applied Chemistry as one of the subjects from this university or any other recognized university.

Master of Science'M.Sc] (Analytical Chemistry)

The aspirant must possess a degree in B.Sc. /B.Sc. (Vocational) with Chemistry/Applied Chemistry as one of the subjects from this university or any other recognized university.

The aspirant must possess a degree in B.Sc. with Physics, Mathematics and any other non-biological science subject from this university or any other recognized university.

The aspirant must possess a degree in B.Sc. with Geology with any other two subjects from this university or any other recognized university.

Master of Science [M.Sc] (Physics)

The aspirant must possess a degree in B.Sc. with Physics, Mathematics and any other non-biological science subject from this university or any other recognized university.

The aspirant must possess a degree in B.Sc./B.Sc. (Vocational) with any two of the following subjects: Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Botany, Zoology, Chemistry, Microbiology, Environment Sciences, Human Genetics, Fisheries, Aquaculture and Mathematics, B.Sc. (Vocational) with Food Science & Quality Control from this university or any other recognized university.

The aspirant must possess a degree in B.Tech with Geology with any other two subjects from this university or any other recognized university.

Application Procedure

MA , M.Com & LLM

  • The aspirant must have to fill all the personal details cautiously and verify it and press submits button.
  • The aspirant must have to submit the application form along with all the original documents which are as follows:
  • The aspirant must have to submit the application via online method only by visiting the university website.
  • The aspirant must have to take the printout of online application form and incomplete application form will be rejected.
  • Aspirants can register themselves to the above-mentioned courses by submitting the registration fee of amount INR 500/-.
  • The aspirant must have to pay the registration fee using any of the following modes Andhra Bank / State Bank of India Challan, Debit / Credit Card / Net Banking.
  1. AUCET-2018 Rank Card & Admit Card.
  2. Degree / Provisional Pass Certificate.
  3. Consolidated Marks statement of the Qualifying Examination.
  4. Transfer and Organize Certificate from the institution where the aspirant last studied.
  5. Migration Certificate (for other Universities)
  6. Date of Birth Certificate (SSC/Matriculation or equivalent Certificate).
  7. Study Certificates for the last seven years or Residence Certificate for preceding seven years of the qualifying examination.
  8. Intermediate original certificate.
  9. Integrated Community Certificate allowed by the competent authority in case of SC/ST/BC/EBC/ Minority aspirants.
  10. Valid latest income certificate allowed by M.R.O./ Thasildar if fee exemption is claimed (the validity of income certificate is four years from the date of issue) or White ration card.
  11. 4 recent passport size Photos.
  12. Aspirants opting for admission under NCC/Sports/CAP/PH/NSS quota shall produce a relevant original certificate, in addition to the above.
  13. Discharge certificate and service certificate of the parent in case of children of armed personnel.
  14. Physical fitness certificate from an Asst. Civil Surgeon.
  15. One set of Photostat copies of all the above certificates

Admission Procedure

MA, M.Com & LLM

Selection of the aspirant to the above-mentioned courses is done on the basis of merit in the AUCET  common entrance test organized by the university.

All the law Institutions/colleges situated in Andhra Pradesh will accept the scorecard of national level examinations, i.e. CLAT & LSAT. Aspirants will also apply for the state level examination such as AP LAWCET & TS LAWCET to get admission to the law courses. Various institutions will also organize its own admission test for providing admission to the law programmes into its campus & its affiliated colleges. Some universities will also offer direct admission to the law courses on the basis of merit of the qualifying exam.

Reservation Criteria

  • Reservation of SC/ST/BC/PH category aspirants is based as per the rules in force.
  • In every course of study, 85% of seats are reserved for the local category aspirants.
  • Remaining 15% seats are filled by locals of Andhra Pradesh area.
