Bilaspur University the second largest University of Chhattisgarh provides Graduate courses in Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) [Food Procedures Technology and Computer Science] and Bachelor of Hotel Management (BHM). The University aims at imparting education to create an ambiance for quality teaching-learning and skill development.

The University has total 161 colleges including 55 Government and 106 Private colleges. The University has various colleges for Girls as well. The detailed admission notification is allocated during the month of May every year.

The application procedure ends in the month of July and is an offline procedure. The admission is based on an entrance test and a personal interview is also organized before the declaration of the results.

Bachelor of Hotel Management (BHM)10+2 in any stream with 45% marks.
Application Process

Interested students may apply for any of the Graduate course as per their interest. Forms are available at the website of the University www.bilaspuruniversity.ac.in. The aspirants can submit it to the University along with Demand Draft in favor of “Registrar, Bilaspur University” payable at Bilaspur or the form can be dropped in the drop box kept in Bilaspur University. The application fees are INR 100/- (Categories other than SC/ST) and for SC/ST it is Nil.

Important: Following documents must be enclosed with the application form:

  • The original Demand draft
  • Self-attested copy of Caste certificate (For SC/ST/OBC/PH only)
  • Photocopies of mark-sheets in support of aspirant’s educational qualification.

The aspirants are recommended to go via the Information Brochure/Prospectus prior to applying to any of the course. It is available on the website as well as it may be obtained from the University by paying an amount of INR 250/- (For all categories)

Selection Process

Note: Based on the number of participants and infrastructure number of seats may be increased and the same would be informed.

Period of the Entrance test will be of 2 hours and the question paper will contain 100 multiple choice questions carrying 1 mark each. There will be No negative marking.

After the declaration of results, merit list will be declared and if some seats would be then it will be informed to the aspirants.

In case, the admission is carried via counseling, the students have to pay the fees on the day of counseling itself.

60 % weightage is given to marks scored in the entrance test and 40% weightage is for marks in qualifying exam.
Reservation Criteria

  • Relaxation in Minimum Eligibility- 5% to the students belonging to SC, ST, and PWD category.
  • Relaxation in upper age limit- 5 years for SC, ST and PWD aspirants and 3 years for OBC aspirants for admissions in different courses where upper limit age is prescribed by the University.
