Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University (BBAU), Lucknow is a central university founded in 1996, by Government of India. It is recognised by UGC and accredited as an “A” grade university by NAAC. The university has a dynamic campus with more than 4800 students enrolled in a broad range of graduate, post-graduate & doctorate programs.

BBAU provides Under Graduate programs in management, commerce, law, arts, education, and Library science. The at least eligibility need for admission to the Under Graduate courses is a Higher Secondary degree in a relevant stream from a recognised board of education or university.

BBAU begins the application procedure for admission to Under Graduate courses in April every year. It is an online procedure and the application forms are made available on the official website of the university. The admission to these programs is via an entrance test organizeed by the university.

The entrance test for each course is organizeed separately. The test is organizeed in offline method around the month of May every year. After the entrance test, the university announces merit list of selected aspirants who are then called for counseling/admission procedure.

Eligibility Criteria for BBAU BA, B.Com and B.Sc Admission 2018

Bachelor of Business Administration [BBA] + Bachelor of Law [L.L.B.], Bachelor of Arts [B.A.] (Hons.) & BBA/BBM

BBA (Bachelor of Business Administration) – 3 years (90 seats)

B.Com. (Bachelor of Commerce)- 3 years (120 seats)

BA Hons. (Public Administration)- 3 years (120 seats)

BBA -LL.B. - 5 years (60 seats)

Eligibility:  Aspirant should have passed 10+2 / intermediate with at least 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/PH) from a recognised board/ equivalent.

Bachelor of Science [B.Sc] + Master of Science [M.Sc] (Applied Geology) & Bachelor of Science [B.Sc] + Master of Science [M.Sc] (Basic Science)

Integrated B.Sc. - M.Sc. - 5 Years

  1. applied Geology-30 seats
  2. basic science

Eligibility:

Aspirant must have passed Intermediate or 10+2 in the Science stream with 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/PH) from a recognised board/equivalent.

Bachelor of Education [B.Ed]

B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education) - 2 years (100 seats)

Eligibility:

  • Aspirants who have passed graduation degree in any stream with minimum 50% marks are applicable for admission.

Or

  • Aspirants with a Master’s degree in sciences/ social sciences/ humanities are applicable for admission.

Or

  • B.Tech. or BE with specialization in science and mathematics with 55% marks or any other equivalent qualification are also applicable for admission to the program.
  • Note: The reservation and relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/PWD and other categories shall be as per the rules of the central government/state government, whichever is eligible.

Bachelor of Library and Information Science [B.Lib]

B.Lib.I.Sciences (Bachelor of Library and Information Science)-1 year (40 seats)

Eligibility:

Aspirant should have a Graduation Degree in any branch with at least 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/PH) from any recognised University

Note: Aspirants whose result is awaited are also applicable to apply, however, such aspirants have to submit the final result card at the time of admission.


How To Apply for BBAU BA, B.Com and B.Sc Admission 2018?

Bachelor of Library and Information Science [B.Lib], Bachelor of Business Administration [BBA] + Bachelor of Law [L.L.B.] & Bachelor of Arts [B.A.] (Hons.)

The application procedure for BBAU is organizeed in online mode. Offline payment can be done through online generated challan at any ICICI bank discipline. It is basically a five-step procedure.

NOTE:

  • The aspirants have to bring hall ticket and identity proof at the  entrance examination centre
  • Application fee General / OBC category aspirants: Rs. 1200/-(Rs. Twelve  hundred  only)
  • The application fee for SC/ ST/ PH aspirants: Rs. 600/-(Rs. Six hundred  only)

Step 3: To register, click on “Register and Apply” link. Online payment can be done through Credit card/ Debit card/ Netbanking. The file size should be maximum 80Kb and should be in jpg pattern. The application fee can be paid in both online and offline mode.

  • Recent coloured photograph
  • Signature of the aspirant
  • Thumb impression (left thumb for male and right thumb for female)

Step 5: After uploading the documents, and submitting the application form, you will have to pay the application fee. You will need to enter the following details:

Admission Procedure of BBAU (Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University) BA, B.Com and B.Sc Admission 2018

BBAU organizes entrance exam for selection of aspirants to Under Graduate courses. The university will prepare merit list on the basis of marks scored by aspirants in the test. In case of equal marks in the entrance test, preference will be given to aspirant with higher marks in the qualifying examination.

The course-wise selection procedure is given below.

The entrance test is objective in nature.

Bachelor of Business Administration [BBA] , Bachelor of Commerce [B.Com] {Hons.} & Bachelor of Business Administration [BBA] + Bachelor of Law [L.L.B.]

The entrance exam for these courses will have a question from the following topics:

  • English (comprehension and grammar)
  • Logical Reasoning
  • General Knowledge
  • Elementary Mathematics

In case of BBA LLB, there will be an additional section of Legal Aptitude in the question paper.

Bachelor of Library and Information Science [B.Lib]

The entrance test for Bachelor of Library and Information Science will include of questions from the following topics:

Integrated B.Sc. (Hons) – M.Sc. Basic Science

The entrance test for this course will have questions from Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Maths of 10+2 level.

Bachelor of Arts [B.A.] (Hons.)

BA (Hons) Public Administration

The entrance exam for this course consists of two sections. Section two will have questions from the following topics:

  • Indian government and politics
  • Constitution of India
  • Local self-government in India
  • Contemporary issues in Indian Administration
  • Indian Administration
