Bangalore University is a state university situated in Bangalore. Programme and will be starting a course in Criminology and Rehabilitation from this academic year. The University has six faculties namely Arts, Science, Commerce & Management, Education, Law and Engineering. At present, the University provides 50 PG Courses and Employment Oriented Diploma and Certificate Courses. It has 43 PG Departments, One postgraduate Centre at Kolar, (Started during 1994-95), three constituent colleges, 665 affiliated colleges (of which 115 have Post Graduate Courses) and several other Centres and Directorates of higher learning and research programme. Following are the list of the constituent colleges of Bangalore University: It is accredited by NAAC with ‘A’ Grade. The University has launched the Five years Integrated Courses in Biological Sciences, Social Sciences, Earth and Atmospheric Sciences and Business Studies and the Four years B.S.

  1. University Visvesvaraya College of Engineering (UVCE).
  2. University Law School.
  3. Department of Physical Education.

B.A. L.LB is a five-year Integrated programme is provideed by the University of Law college, one of the constituent colleges of Bangalore University providing its service for 65 long years in the field of law. From the very first year, the students are made familiar with the courtroom environment via “Moot Courts Competitions”. Students are also made aware of the legal aid and literacy programme.

You will also be allowed to make court and jail visits in your fourth and fifth year of B.A. L.LB programme. Though the date to apply for this course is not declared in 2016, I will suggest you visit the website on regular basis for more information.

Bachelor of Arts + Bachelor of Laws [B.A.L.L.B.]

Bachelor of Arts in Legum Baccalaureus (L.LB) Programme in Bangalore University:

B.A.L.LB Programme is a five-year Undergraduate programme in University Law College, Bangalore University, designed for students who seekings to pursue Law as a career option. Following are the number of seats allotted for L.LB. If you belong to SC/ST Category you will be required to have an aggregate of 40 % in your Senior Secondary Examination (+2) Board exam. There is a provision for age relaxation up to 2 year for SC/ST/OBC and Foreign Students.

  • If you are a foreign national it is compulsory for you to have the English Language as one of the mandatory subjects in your class 12 or equivalent Higher Secondary School Examination by obtaining Grade or marks equivalent to 45% in aggregate as determined by the Equivalence Committee. You may even be required to appear in an English Language competence test if the University feels the necessity to have one.
  • Programme:

    Merit Seats: 60

    Payment Seats: 20

    Note: a maximum of 60 students will be admitted per class + 20 students under self-finance scheme.

    Eligibility Criteria for B.A.L.LB Programme:

    1. You required passing your Senior Secondary Examination (+2 Board exam) with an aggregate of 45% from any recognised Board in India (Recognized State Board, ISC, CBSE, IGCSE, NIOS etc.) or abroad. If you have scored 44.5% as a General aspirant or 39.5% as SC/ST aspirant you shall be deemed to have secured 45% and 40% respectively.
    2. You must not be more than 20 years of age (General Category) as on the last date for submission of application of the year of admission.

    You required to attest and attach following documents along with the application form and DD.

    1) Two photocopies of PUC / XII Std. A Demand Draft (DD) drawn in favour of Finance Officer, Bangalore University, Bangalore-560056 Payable at State Bank of Mysore, Nagarabhavi Discipline Bangalore must be sent along with the application form and other documents.

    Selection Procedure for Bangalore University B.A. L.LB. Admissions 2018

    Your admission shall be done on the basis of merit cum reservation policy of the Karnataka Government and in accordance with the Bangalore University’s norms and rules. Please note that admission/application fees once paid will not be refunded. Students from Karnataka will be preferred for admission, however, unfilled seats (except supernumerary seats) will be allotted to non-Karnataka students on the basis of merit.
