Azim Premji University was founded as a not-for-profit, private autonomous university in the state of Karnataka. 60% of their graduates are working in the social sector at the grassroots level. It provides different undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. The university aims at facilitating systemic change in education and allied development areas by organizing comprehensive research, developing new talent, and creating domain knowledge. The Azim Premji Establishation is the sponsor of the university. The university has had very healthy placements.

The University invites applications for the admission to the undergraduate programmes for the academic year 2018-19. The courses provideed are B.A. Degree and B.Sc. Degree courses which are three years full-time residential courses. The Application form is available on the website from October 21, 2017 (tentative) and must be submitted by April 24, 2018 (tentative) for regular admission. The selection will be based on a Written Test followed by an Interview.

Eligibility Criteria for APU (Azim Premji University) B.A and B.Sc. Admissions 2018

BA & B.Sc

The University provides the following majors in the BA programme:

  • Economics
  • Humanities (combined History, Literature and Philosophy)

 

B.Sc. Programme

The University provides the following majors in the B.Sc. programme:

  • Biology
  • Physics

 

Eligibility

  • You can apply even if you have finished the same in 2017
  • If you are appearing for your final examinations by June 2018, then also you can apply
  • You should have a Class 12 or Pre University certificate from any recognised Indian Board or any valid international certificate equivalent to Class 12 with a at least of 50% marks

Age: You should not be older than 19 years of age.


Application Procedure of APU (Azim Premji University) B.A and B.Sc. Admissions 2018

BA & B.Sc

You can obtain the Application Form from the website under the โ€œAdmissionsโ€ tab. For online mode, you can make payment through SBI Collect. The details on the form can be handwritten and sent to Admissions Cell along with the fee paid Challan and photographs.

Application Fee: Rs. 200/- to be remitted in favour of Azim Premji University Fees a/c. You can submit the Application through both the online method and the offline mode.

Online Mode:

You have to log in via the link on the website and register online with e-mail ID, mobile number and date of birth. On successful registration, an email will be sent to your registered e-mail ID with login credentials to reach the form and clear it online.

Offline Mode:

You can download the application form and fee payment Challan from the University website. For offline mode, you required making payment by downloading the Challan from University website. Account details are updated on the application form and the Challan.

Selection Procedure of APU (Azim Premji University) B.A and B.Sc. Admissions 2018

BA & B.Sc

Your selection will be based on a Written Test and an Interview (if shortlisted). If shortlisted on the basis of your performance in the written test, you will be called for the Individual Interview. The Written Test (National Entrance Test) will assess your English language and quantitative capacities.
