Established in 1929, Annamalai University is the first private university and one of Asia's largest public residential universities situated in India. The university is one of the first institutions in the country to provide courses of higher education in science, engineering, humanities, agriculture, and arts. A pioneer in imparting quality education, it was taken over by the Tamil Nadu government in 2013 and has emerged as one of the largest public residential university with 10 faculties and 49 departments of study. The university also offers more than 500 courses via distance learning mode.
The university provides the following programmes via the Faculty of Marine Sciences:
Admission of aspirants to the B.F.Sc programme will be done on the basis of their performance in the qualifying examination. Aspirants will be shortlisted for M.Sc in marine science programmes based on their performance in entrance examination and interview, organized by the university.
Aspirants who satisfy the eligibility criteria can register themselves by downloading the related application form available at the university website. Finished applications should be submitted to the university office, along with the processing fee of Rs. 800/- and Rs.400/- for B.F.Sc. and M.Sc. courses in marine sciences respectively, to complete the registration procedure.
