Annamalai University is one of Asiaβs top public residential universities providing over 500 undergraduate and postgraduate programmes via its 10 faculties such as science, commerce, arts, management etc. and 49 departments of study.
The Faculty of Engineering & Technology provides the following programmes to its students every year:
Admissions to these programmes are based on the performance of the aspirant in the qualifying examination.
Aspirants who satisfy the eligibility can register themselves by filling-in the related application form available at the university website. Finished applications should be submitted to the university office, along with the processing fee of Rs. 800/- (Rs. 400/- for SC/ST/SCA aspirants).

Civil & Structural Engineering
Eligibility: Aspirant must have passed in diploma of civil and structural engineering organized by the state board of technical education of Tamil Nadu or equivalent with 2 years work experience in a recognized organization.
Mechanical Engineering
Eligibility: Aspirant must have passed in diploma of Mechanical engineering organized by the state board of technical education of Tamil Nadu or equivalent with 2 years work experience in a recognized organization.
Electrical and Electronics Engineering
Eligibility: Aspirant must have passed in diploma of Electrical and Electronics engineering organized by the state board of technical education of Tamil Nadu or equivalent with 2 years work experience in a recognized organization.
Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering
Eligibility: Aspirant must have passed in Electrical and Electronics / Electronics and Instrumentation / Electronics and Communication / Computer Science & Engineering / Instrumentation and Control / Electronics Engg./ Information Technology organized by the state board of technical education of Tamil Nadu or equivalent with 2 years work experience in a recognized organization
Chemical Engineering
Eligibility: Aspirant must pass diploma in Chemical Engineering organized by the state board of technical education of Tamil Nadu or equivalent with 2 years work experience in a recognized organization.

For B.E. (Full-Time):
Selection of the aspirant will be based on marks obtained in the subjects (mathematics- 100, physics & chemistry- 100) for general category aspirants.
In case of equal marks, aspirant shall be selected on the basis of percentage in mathematics, physics and fourth optional subject taken together in 10+2.
For B.E. Lateral Entry:
Selection of the aspirant will be based on the marks obtained in the final year examination of the qualifying degree
For B.Voc.:
Selection of aspirant will be based on the overall marks secured in the qualifying examination
For B.E (Part-Time):
Selection of the aspirants will be based on their score in the Entrance Examination and Interview
Seats will be reserved for aspirants belonging to ST/SC/SCA/MBC/DNC//BC/ BCM/OC communities as per rules and regulations of the Government of Tamil Nadu
