Andhra University is one of the oldest universities in India founded in 1926. It is situated in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. Today, the Campus provides 17 undergraduate and 35 postgraduate programmes, besides research on par with technical institutions worldwide. The university designed and implemented a Quality Management System and became the first general university in the country to get ISO 9001: 2000 Certification in 2006. The institution has had Sir C.R. Reddy as its establisher Vice-chancellor and Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan as the second Vice-Chancellor

In a recent survey organized by Star News, AUCE (A) has been rated at first position among the state-owned technical institutions in the country. TEQIP necessitated autonomous status to the College. The college is supported by Technical Education Quality Improvement Programme (TEQIP), a World Bank-funded project to develop technical education in the country. AUCE (A) stands at No.1 position in implementing the programme in the country.

The University invites applications for admission to the four years, Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) and Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) Programmes in different specializations for the academic year 2016-17. The applications for admission must be submitted online between March 9th, 2018 and March 16th, 2018. The admissions for the programmes will take place via the AUEET 2016 - Andhra University Engineering Entrance Test to be held on May 5th, 2018.

Eligibility Criteria:

You should have passed 10+2 or its equivalent with an at least average of 50% marks for general category and 45% marks for reserved category in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
If you are appearing for the 10+2 examination, you are also applicable to apply. However, you must have studied in regular, full-time, formal stream in the School.

You should fill the Application Form online on the university website.

You should fill the Application Form with the need details.

You should also select your choice of centers from Visakhapatnam, Kakinada, and Vijayawada.

Application Fee: You should Registration and Application Procedure Fee of Rs.1000 (Plus Bank charges eligible for the method of payment selected) as (and late fee if eligible) by opting any of the following modes of payments: Andhra Bank / State Bank of India Challan, Debit / Credit Card / or Net Banking.

After filling the online Application form with the need details, you should verify all the details cautiously and press Submit button.

You are filled in Application Form will be generated that contains Application number along with filled details.

You should then take print out of filled in Online Application Form.

You must use the Application number for future correspondence till the admission procedure including the counseling is finished.

Andhra University B.Tech. & B.E. Admissions 2018 Admission Procedure


You will be selected on the basis of AUEET 2018 - Andhra University Engineering Entrance Test.

The paper will consist of 100 multiple-choice questions carrying 100 marks. It will be for a period of 90 minutes. You should response all questions in each part. The Mathematics section contains 40 questions and is for 40 marks and the Physics and Chemistry part contain 30 questions and carrying 30 marks each. Each part contains 30 multiple choice questions. It will consist of 3 sections with questions based on Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.

You should be able to complete the cut off decided by the University.

Andhra University B.Tech. & B.E. Admissions 2018 Reservation Criteria

The reservation criteria will be as per the policy of the Government of A.P. that is existing in respect of SC, ST, BCs, CAP, PH, NCC and Sports categories.

  • 3% of overall seats will be reserved for Physically Handicapped aspirants.
  • Overall, 85% of the available seats in each course and category will be reserved in favor of the Local Aspirants from the districts of Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam, East Godavari, West Godavari, Krishna, Guntur, and Prakasam belonging to Andhra University area.
  • 33.33% of the seats in each course shall be reserved in favor of women aspirants in each category.
