Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham (AVVP) invites aspirants for admission in Under Graduate and Post Graduate programs available in their different campuses. The University has the total of 15 schools which offer over 150 various courses. The University was founded in 2003 and since then has flourished into five campuses: Amritapuri, Bengaluru, Coimbatore, and Mysore.

The selection to Under Graduate courses is based on the marks obtained by the aspirant in the Entrance Exam that is organized by the department of the course opted by the aspirant. The application forms are available at the University's website. The aspirant must cautiously fill the form and submit it along with the registration fee. The shortlisted students will then go via an interview. The shortlisted students will then go via a counseling session, and an interview to determine the selected aspirants. The selection to Post Graduate courses would mainly be on the basis of marks scored by the aspirant in the earlier qualifying degree.

AVVP UG & PG Admissions 2018 Eligibility Criteria

B.Com , BCA & BBA/BBM

Provided at Amritapuri campus:

The aspirant should have a minimum of 60% in English.

Note: These courses are also provided at Kochi & Mysore campus.

Bachelor of Science [B.Sc] + Master of Science [M.Sc] (Chemistry) , Bachelor of Science [B.Sc] + Master of Science [M.Sc] (Mathematics) & Bachelor of Science [B.Sc] + Master of Science [M.Sc] (Physics)

Aspirant must have an aggregate of 50% in Physics, Maths, and Chemistry.

Note 1: Aspirant can exit the program after 3 years with a B.Sc. Degree.

Note 2: Integrated B.Sc-M.Sc in Physics/Chemistry & Mathematics is also provided at Coimbatore campus.

Bachelor of Education (B.Ed):

Eligibility:

  • Aspirant must have studied at least two of the following subjects: English, Kannada, Hindi, Urdu, Marathi, Sanskrit, History, Journalism, Women's studies, Economics, Political     Science, Sociology, Commerce, Geography, Philosophy, Psychology, Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, Geology, Mathematics, Statistics, Microbiology, Biotechnology, Computer Science,  Electronics.
  • Aspirant must have studied at least one language, like English, Kannada, Hindi, Marathi, Urdu, Sanskrit, Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu, etc.
  • Aspirants who have taken degree outside Karnataka should have studied at least two of the above-mentioned subjects in addition to English in their degree course. The aspirant must have at least 50% marks in their +2 exams or an equivalent 3-year Polytechnic degree.
  • The aspirant should have finished a Degree Course with the minimum of 55% (45% for SC, ST  C-I, and PH) in either Under Graduate (B.A., B.Sc., B.Com., B.B.M., B.C.A., B.E., etc.) or Post Graduate (M.A., M.Sc., M.Com., M.B.A., M.C.A., etc.)

Bachelor of Arts [BA] + Master of Arts [MA] (English Language and Literature)

The aspirant should have a minimum of 60% in English.

Note: Apart from Amritapuri campus this course is also provided at Coimbatore & Kochi campus too.% marks.

Master of Arts [MA] (English Language and Literature)

Provided at Amritapuri Campus:

The aspirant must be pass in B.A. in English Language and Literature with a minimum of 50% marks.

MCA

The aspirant should be a graduate with Mathematics/Statistics as one of their subjects in their degree course.

Note: This course is also provided at Kochi campus.

M.Com

Aspirant must be a graduate in B.Com/ BBM/ BBA/ B.Sc. Banking with a minimum of 50% marks.

Note: This course is also provided at Mysore campus.

Master of Science [M.Sc] (Bioinformatics)

The aspirant should be a graduate in the field of science (maths, engineering, medicine), preferably with a background in maths and computer science.

Master of Science [M.Sc] (Biotechnology) & Master of Science [M.Sc] (Microbiology)

The aspirant should be a graduate in the field of Biological Sciences, Engineering [Biotechnology], Medicine, or equivalent. He/she should also have a background of Biology.

Master of Science [M.Sc] (Chemistry), Master of Science [M.Sc] (Mathematics) & Master of Science [M.Sc] (Physics)

The aspirant must be a graduate in Chemistry/Physics or Mathematics (as applicable) or have Chemistry/Mathematics or Physics as a main subject with a minimum of 50% marks.

Master of Arts [MA] (Philosophy and Applied Psychology)

The aspirant must be a graduate in any degree with 60% marks and should have the strong interest in philosophy.

Note: This course is also provided at Bengaluru & Coimbatore campus.

Master of Social Work [MSW]

The aspirant must be a graduate in any degree with 60% marks.

Note: This course is also provided at Coimbatore campus.

Master of Commerce (M.Com.) - Finance and Systems:

The aspirant should be graduate in B.Com./B.B.M. with 50% marks.

Masters in Journalism and Mass Communication (M.J.M.C.):

The aspirant must be a graduate in any branch with 50% marks.

The aspirant should be graduate in BCA, B.Sc. (IT/ Computer Science), or any branch.

Provided at Mysore Campus:

Master of Computer Application (M.C.A.) – Regular:

The aspirant should be a graduate with Mathematics/Statistics as one of their subjects in their degree course.

Master of Computer Application (M.C.A.) – Lateral:

The aspirant should be a graduate in BCA, B.Sc(IT), B.Sc(Computer Science) with Maths with 60% marks.

Master of Science (M.Sc.) Computer Science:

The aspirant should be a graduate in Maths/Commerce/Management/ Science with 60% marks.

AVVP UG & PG Admissions 2018 Application Procedure

M.Sc , B.Com & BCA

  • The forms can also be downloaded and sent through the post. In such case, a demand draft in the favor of "Amrita Vishwapeetham" payable at Amritapuri will have to be sent along with the application.
  • In the online application, the registration fee would have to be paid by Net Banking/credit/debit card.
  • The registration fee for M.C.A. course is INR 650 for Under Graduate programs is INR 400 and for Post Graduate courses is INR 500.
  • The application form can be obtained from the University website or can be submitted online.

AVVP UG & PG Admissions Procedure 2018

B.Com, BCA & MA

The aspirants have to go via an entrance exam organized by the different departments of the University for their respective Degree.

The selection will be based on the rank scored by the aspirant followed by counseling and interview.

M.Sc , MCA & M.Com

  • The shortlisted aspirants will go via an interview organized by their different departments.
  • The aspirants will be selected on the basis of marks in their qualifying degree as well as the interview.
  • The aspirants will be shortlisted on the basis of marks obtained in their qualifying degree.
