The University of Allahabad is founded on September 23, 1887.The University is the fourth oldest university in India. Allahabad University presently provides bachelor's, masters and doctoral degrees in different specializations such as science, art, commerce, management, computer application, and law.

The University provides the Master of Education (M.Ed) course which is of two years duration. Aspirants Want admission in the M.Ed program should have at least 50% marks or an equivalent grade in B.Ed from any recognised by NCTE.

Admission to M.Ed course is done on the basis of the marks obtained by the Aspirant in the University Entrance Examination. and other eligible categories as per the rules defined by the Central Government Guidelines. UOA M.Ed Admission 2018 Eligibility Criteria


To apply for this course, the aspirant should have obtained minimum 50% marks or an equivalent in B.Ed from a recognised institute by NCTE.There will be relaxation in at least qualifying marks of 5% for  S.C./S.T./O.B.C  And P.W.D aspirants as per the Central Government Guidelines(General aspirants should secure at least 50% marks whereas reserved aspirants should secure at least 45% in B.Ed examination).

UOA M.Ed Admission 2018 How To Apply


Aspirants have to fill and submit the application form online by following  the below given steps:

  • Submission of Application: After filling all the details, aspirants are advised to check the filled details before clicking on submit button. Once the form has been submitted successfully to the University, the aspirant shall not be permitted to make any addition, deletion or alteration.
  • Fees Payment: Aspirants should submit the need entrance test fees of Rs. 1200/- (Rs. 600 for SC/ST and PH aspirants) at any discipline of HDFC Bank. To pay the amount, Aspirants have to download  Challan from the University of Allahabad official website.The test fees can also be submitted by ATM Debit Card/Credit card or via Net Banking.
  • Fill Application Form: Aspirants should fill their details such as name, address and other compulsory details in accordance with the instruction given on the official website. After submitting the form successfully,  the website will show a confirmation message for the same. Aspirants have to upload their scanned photograph and signature (With Black Ink and White Background).
  • Registration: Aspirants should log on to the official website of the university and select the desired program.


  • The test fees will not be refunded or carried over in case the application of the aspirant is rejected.
  • The information entered in various columns is factually accurate and clear.
  • The application form shall not be accessible after the last date of application.

UOA M.Ed Admission Procedure 2018


Selection of students will be done on the basis of marks obtained in the entrance examination, organized by the university.The admission test will be of 150 multiple choice type questions and each question will be carrying one mark. The time period of the test will be 2 hours.The questions will test the aspirants in the following areas:

  1. 10 Questions on Hindi Language Comprehension.
  2. 10 Questions on English Language Comprehension.
  3. 10 Questions on Present Affairs.
  4. 20 Questions on Mental Ability.
  5. 100 Questions on Core Course B.Ed. syllabus of the University of Allahabad.

Reservation Criteria

The Seats will be reserved for the aspirants who belong to the Scheduled Caste (SC), the Scheduled Tribes(ST) and OBC.

Reservation for Physically Challenged Aspirants:  Aspirants, who have a certified disability of not less than 40% in limb/orthopedic & physical disability of not more than 70% or a certified blind, may be admitted to the related course after the recommendation of Medical Board. 5% of the total seats are reserved for such students.
