Allahabad University (UOA) LLB Admissions 2018

Founded in September 1887, University of Allahabad (UOA) is a public central university and the fourth oldest in India situated in the state of Uttar Pradesh, India. The University offers admission to different professional and non-professional courses, research and training programs.

UOA has a dynamic Law Department which provides Undergraduate (UG), postgraduate (PG) as well as doctoral courses to students every year. It provides BA.LLB, LL.B, LL.M, D.Phil. and LL.D degree under the Department of Law.

Students want admission to the Bachelor of Law (LL.B) programme must possess a graduation degree in any branch. Aspirants can register for admission by filling and submitting the online application form, starting from the first week of April to the first week of May every year. Admission of aspirants to LL.B programme is done on the basis of their performance in LAT 2017 to be held on August 14, 2017 (tentative).

UOA LLB Admissions 2018 Eligibility Criteria


  • Aspirant should have bachelor’s degree in any branch from a recognised university with minimum 45% aggregate in marks. For OBC and SC/ST category aspirants, the at least need aggregate is 42% and 40%, respectively
  • Aspirant must be resident of India and must qualify LAT 2017 Examination

Note: Foreign National /Non-Resident Indian (i.e., a citizen of India domiciled abroad) and who has graduated from a foreign University, are exempted from appearing in the Admission Test and shall be considered for admission on the basis of qualifying degree merit.

UOA LLB Admissions 2018 How To Apply


Aspirants can apply for admission by filling in and submitting finished online applications before May 10, 2017 (tentative). Aspirants must log on to the university website and follow the given steps:

  1. Aspirants should fill the application form online with all the relevant information
  2. Next, student should submit the application fee via the available online payment modes (e-banking/credit card/debit card).
  3. Aspirant must save the generated registration number and keep the Xerox/copy of the finished applications for subsequent use
  4. The registered aspirants can appear in LAT 2017 only after downloading the hall ticket

Note: The foreign/ NRI aspirants/ aspirants exempted from appearing in the Law Admission Test should fill the application form via a separate process which will be notified later on by faculty of Law

Online Application Fee

  • For General and OBC aspirants – Rs. 600/-
  • For SC, ST and PH aspirants – Rs. 300/-

UOA LLB Admission Procedure 2018


Admission to LL.B courses is done on the basis of Entrance examination viz. LAT 2017, organizeed by the respective department of the University of Allahabad. The aspirants shortlisted in LAT will be intimated for the counseling procedure where they will be submitting the need supporting documents along with the need fee.

Documents need for LAT Counseling 2017 

  • Print out of the Score card of LAT 2017 or results’
  • Copy of LAT 2017 Hall Ticket
  • Caste certificates for SC/ST/OBC categories
  • Documents for claiming reserved seats of NCC, PH Sports, and other quota
  • Mark sheets of the Qualifying Degree Examination
  • Xerox Copy of the submitted Application Form of LAT 2017
  • Birth Certificate/Class 10th Passing Certificate (DOB proof)

Exam format

Here are some of the key points regarding Law Admission Test (LAT 2017) organizeed by the University of Allahabad:

  • The questions will be both objective as well as subjective. The exam will be organizeed by UOA in offline method only and the aspirant will be given maximum of 2 hours and 30 minutes i.e. 150 minutes to clear the test.
  • LAT 2017 consist of 3 papers - Papers 1 and 2 shall consist of 100 questions whereas Paper 3 shall include of 50 questions only. The Question Paper shall carry maximum marks of 300.
