Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) is a public central university situated in Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh. It was originally founded by Sir Syed Ahmad Khan as Mohammedan Anglo-Oriental College in 1875. The Mohammedan Anglo-Oriental College became Aligarh Muslim University in 1920.
AMU provides more than 300 courses at UG, Post Graduate, and doctoral level. AMU B.Tech Specialization with seat intake is mentioned below: The university provides B.Tech program in seven various branches.
B.Tech in Petrochemical Engineering – 25 seats
B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering – 90 seats
B.Tech in Electronics Engineering – 50 seats
B.Tech in Chemical Engineering – 30 seats
B.Tech in Electrical Engineering – 60 seats
B.Tech in Civil Engineering – 60 seats
B.Tech in Computer Engineering – 50 seats
The minimum eligibility to apply for B.Tech program is 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. The registration fee is INR 550. Qualified aspirants can apply via the official website of the university i.e. www.amu.ac.in.
The selection is done on the basis of entrance test namely- AMUEEE (Aligarh Muslim University Engineering Entrance Test). Eligible aspirants in AMUEEE are considered for admission procedure.

AMU B.Tech Eligibility Criteria
To be qualified for admission to B.Tech program at Aligarh Muslim University, students have to fulfill the complete eligibility criteria prescribed by the university.
Students required to obtain at least 50% marks in intermediate.
Participants must have passed class 12 in science stream from a recognized board.
The registration is done in online mode. Students who wish to apply can submit the application form on the official website of the university i.e. www.amu.ac.in. No applications will be accepted after the deadline.
All the filled information in application form should be correct and similar to the information of original documents. Mention a valid email address or phone number on the application form.
Students have to pay an application fee of INR 550 at the of the registration procedure. The application fee can pay either online through net banking, credit card, and debit card or offline through demand draft in favor of “Finance Office AMU Aligarh, Payable at Aligarh.

Navigate to “Admission” tab
Enter your email id & password then register
Login with your credentials
Fill the application form with necessary information
Upload the scan copy of signature and photograph
Click on the button “Submit”
Pay application fee
Take the print out of application form for future reference.
The Hall Ticket will be released on the official website of AMU. Aspirants can download their Hall Ticket one week before the exam date. Hall Ticket is a required document to sit for an exam. Aspirants have to bring their Hall Ticket at the exam center.
Students are advised to make sure that all the information which is mentioned on the Hall Ticket like Name, Fathers name, Roll number, Exam center etc. should be correct.
AMU B.Tech Admission 2018 Selection procedure
The selection procedure consists of written test and interview round. Those who will successfully qualify both stages of selection procedure will be considered for admission procedure.
Students successfully qualified eligibility criteria will be called for entrance test i.e. AMUEEE.
AMUEEE is held in five different cities namely – Aligarh, Kolkata, Malappuram, Patna, and Lucknow.
Shortlisted Students on the basis of their performance in AMUEEE are called for interview round.
Qualified Students in interview round are required to go for document verification procedure.
AMUEEE (Aligarh Muslim University Engineering Entrance Test) is a university-level exam conducted by Aligarh Muslim University. The exam is held for admission to B.Tech program.
Candidates have to bring their Hall Ticket at the examination center. Else they cannot enter inside the center. Aspirants are advised to reach the center, the half hour prior of exam commencement for document verification procedure.
The exam is held in offline mode (pen and paper-based).
The question paper consists of three sections namely- Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics worth 150 questions. Each section carries 50 questions.
All the questions will be in MCQ format (Multiple Choice Questions).
Aspirants have to attempt all the questions for the duration of three hours.
One mark is awarded for each correct answer.
