AFMC Pune (Armed Forces Medical College) is one the prestigious colleges in Pune, India. The college is managed by the Indian Armed Forces. It is affiliated to Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Nashik and is recognised by the Medical Council of India.

AFMC, Pune provides 130 seats for admission to MBBS program. It is a psychological assessment test cum interview. The selection is done on the basis of NEET 2017 score obtained by the aspirants. Students who qualified NEET 2017 will be called to appear in the TOELR (Test of English Language, Comprehension, Logic and Reasoning). There are 105 seats for boys and 25 seats for girls, out of total 10 seats are reserved for SC/ST category aspirants.

The period of the MBBS course is 4 years 6 month followed by mandatory rotating internship training of one year. The registration for admission to MBBS program is done in online method from July 03, 2017. The last day to register is July 12, 2017.

Eligibility Criteria for AFMC (Armed Forces Medical College) Pune MBBS Admission 2018

To seek admission to MBBS program, aspirants must fulfil the clear eligibility criteria mentioned below:

  • Only Indian nationals are applicable to apply.
  • Aspirants who have appeared or will be appearing in qualifying examination up to 30 Apr 2017 may also apply.

  • Candidates must be unmarried. important; list-styleParticipants must score minimum 60% marks in class 12 with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology from a recognised university or institute.
  • Aspirants from Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Jammu and Kashmir are applying for admission to AFMC, Pune.
  • Should be medically fit as per prescribed standards by the Govt. Foreign nationals of Indian origin may be admitted into AFMC only after they have earned Indian Citizenship or in respect of whom the Ministry of Home Affairs issues a certificate of eligibility.

Age Limit

  • The at least age limit to apply for admission to MBBS program is 17 years as on December 31, 2017.
  • The maximum age limit to apply for admission to MBBS program is 24 years.

    The registration is done in online method only, aspirants who wish to apply can submit their application form on the official website of the college. Applications received after the due date will not be entertained.

    Students are advised to make sure that, all the information which is mentioned on the application form must be accurate and similar to the information of original documents. If any aspirants establish inapplicable at the time of admission procedure, his/ her candidature will be cancelled at the very moment.

    2. Click on admission link and select your applied course.
    3. Register by using your email id and password
    4. Login after the confirmation of email
    5. Enter the details asked in the application form
    6. Upload the signature and photograph in jpeg pattern
    7. Image size should not be more than 50 kb
    8. Save the application form
    9. Pay the application fee by either of the available modes
    10. Take the print out of application form for future reference.

    Selection Procedure of AFMC (Armed Forces Medical College) Pune MBBS Admission 2018

    Aspirants wishing to apply for admission to MBBS program in AFMC (Armed Forces Medical College) Pune, have to qualify NEET. The selection is done on the basis of aspirantโ€™s performance in NEET 2017.

    On the basis of the NEET 2017 score and screening at AFMC, two merit lists will be prepared, one for boys and one for girls, and admissions will be provideed only to these shortlisted aspirants in accordance with their final position in the merit list.

    The remaining aspirants will be on the waiting list. The provisions of the type of commission will depend upon the vacancies available and will be determined on merit-cooption at the final MBBS exam.

    The liability of the SSC officers passing out of AFMC to cater in the Armed Forces Medical Services would be 7 years. The result will be displayed on the website of AFMC Pune.

    Aspirants who are applying for admission to MBBS course in AFMC, have a mandatory cater as Commissioned Officers in the Armed Forces Medical Services. Clear details of Service Liability and Bond Agreement will be given to the aspirants shortlisted for the screening.
