TATA Power Recruitment through GATE 2018

TATA Power Appointment via GATE 2018 โ€“ TATA Power has recently announced a notification for the post of graduate engineer trainee. Different other PSUโ€™s as TATA such as GAIL, HPCL etc undergo the recruitment procedure considering the GATE scores.  The notification of PSUs via GATE generally comes after the declaration of result. Aspirants can apply for this post after GATE Result. The online application form will be available from March 2018 on official site. There is no separate application fee for applying. Aspirants will be selected on the basis of GATE score, Group discussion and individual interview organizeed by TATA Power.

A structure induction program is carried out for Graduate Engineer Trainee. Aspirants will undergo a one-year induction training program containing Technical/ functional/ classroom/ On the job training, projects, managerial skill development.

  • Electronics Engineering
  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Control and Instrumentation Engineering

Aspirants will be called for further selection procedure of TATA Power after GATE 2018 Result. They can go via the following table for exam dates is given below:

GATE Eligibility for TATA Power Appointment

The need eligibility for the post of trainee via GATE 2018 is as follows:

  • Only 2017 batch pass out can apply with no year drop.
  • The aspirant must have 60% marks in 10th and 12th class also.
  • The aspirant should have a valid GATE score.
  • The aspirant must a B.Tech/ B.E degree in Electrical/ Mechanical/ Electronics/ Power engineering with at least 60% of marks from a recognized university.

Age Limit

The upper age limit is 25 years for GEN/ OBC category. Reserved category will be relaxed by 3 years of age.

GATE Selection Procedure for TATA Power Appointment 2018

The selection of aspirants will be based on GATE 2018 score. The shortlisted aspirants will be called for Group discussion and individual interview organizeed by TATA Power. After the successful completion of training period, they will be recruited as a permanent employee in the company. Aspirants must know GATE PSU Cut Off Scores to get the fair idea about the trends in cut-offs for selection in different various organisations. The merit list will be prepared on the basis of performance in GD/ PI round. They will be for One-year training induction program.

Pay Scale

The selected aspirants are entitled to a salary of INR- 24,900 to 50,500 at the basic pay of INR- 2490. After the training period, they will get remuneration as per companyโ€™s policy.

GATE Instructions for TATA Power Appointment

Aspirants can go via following instructions before applying for the TATA Power via GATE is given below:

  • Aspirants have to submit the copy of educational/ caste certificates, GATE 2017 result at the time of selection procedure.
  • They must have active their E-mail id and phone number until the completion of the application procedure.
  • An aspirant with any backlog in B.E/ B.Tech will not be allowed for the post of Engineer trainee under TATA Power via GATE.
  • TATA Power reserves the right to reject any aspirant at any stage of the selection procedure.
