SSC CGL Tier 2 2018 Question Paper, Response Key,Paper Analysis and Cut off

SSC CGL Tier 2 Exam was successfully organized on February 17, 2018. The result of the test is expected to be announced in March 2018. The response key of the question paper will be announced by Staff Selection Commission. Aspirants can cross-check their responses with Response key and get an estimated score. The test was taken by the aspirants who completed the Tier 1 test.
- Paper 2 mostly consisted of grammar and vocabulary based questions, some of which were a little difficult
- Some questions in the Quantitative Aptitude were tricky and lengthy to solve
- Overall the level of paper was similar to that of last year. The entire paper ranged from easy to moderate level.
- An overall attempt of 270-295 would be considered good.
SSC CGL 2018 How to reach Response Key Tier 2?
Aspirants can follow the process given below to check the response key:
- The Pdf of response key will be displayed on the screen
- Click on the response key link at the bottom of the pdf.
- Click on the link of SSC CGL Tier 2 Response Key under the notice section.
- Visit the official website of SSC (ssc.nic.in).
- Enter roll number, password, and date of examination.
- A pdf will open.
- Download the pdf and match the responses.
Challenging the response key
- They must pay INR 100 for every question they challenge.
- In case, aspirants find any inaccurate response in the pdf, they can challenge it.
- In case the response of the aspirants is genuine, the responses will be edited in the final response key announced by the panel.
- Link to challenge the response key will be displayed under the response key tab at the SSC website.
- Final response key will be announced after days, which cannot be challenged.
Sectional Analysis for SSC CGL 2018 Tier 2
Paper 1: Quantitative Aptitude (QA)
The difficulty level of the Paper 1 (QA) of SSC CGL Tier 2 was similar to earlier year’s. The overall difficulty level was moderate to difficult. Questions from Mensuration were straight based on formulae but were time-consuming. In arithmetic, questions on Time & Work and Time & Distance were tricky. The paper had equal weight to Arithmetic and Advance. Conclusively, well-prepared aspirants could easily attempt 80-90 questions. There were considerable questions from Number System.

Paper 2: English Language & Comprehension
This year the level of English paper was moderate. Major sections covered grammar and vocabulary. A total of 5 RCs were there in the exam, out of which one was difficult, rest was easy. Vocabulary comprised the one-word substitution, idiom/phrases, synonyms/antonyms, and spelling correction. In grammar sections, the major focus was on mistake detection, active-passive voice, narration and sentence improvement. Most of the questions in RC were factually based. Overall good attempts would be 175-180.
