State Bank Of India will announce notification for appointment of Probationary Officers at their official website i.e. The last date to apply is March 06, 2018. The Preliminary Round of the three-tier exam will be organized on multiple dates in the month of April and May 2018.

  • The Result of SBI PO (Preliminary) 2018 will be released on May 17, 2018.
  • SBI PO Application Form is expected to be available from February 07, 2018. 
  • The qualified aspirants for Mains exam will be called for Group Discussion and Individual Interview.
  • Aspirants qualifying in the preliminary exam will be shortlisted for the Mains exam.

SBI PO is a national level online test. It is three stage appointment exam namely Prelims, Mains, and Interview. Qualified aspirants in all stages are appointed for the posts.

With a total of 2313 vacancies overall, State Bank of India invites applications from general aspirants for 347, ST Aspirants for 350 vacancies and OBC aspirants for 606 vacancies. Separate cutoff and merit list are generated for aspirants from each category.  A part of total vacancies is reserved for aspirants with a physical disability.

Eligibility Criteria for SBI PO 2018

Aspirants must check the eligibility before applying for SBI PO 2018. The basic eligibility is listed below. Check the detailed SBI PO Eligibility Criteria.

  • Aspirants possessing the qualification of Chartered Accountant may also apply.
  • Age Limit: Not below 21 years and not above 30 years as on 01.04.2018 i.e aspirants must have been born not previous than 02.04.1988 and not later than 01.04.1997 (both days inclusive).
  • Educational Qualification: Graduation in any branch from a recognized University or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government.
  • Aspirants having integrated dual degree (IDD) certificate should ensure that the date of passing the IDD is on or before 01.07.2018.
  • Those who are in the Final year/Semester of their Graduation may also apply provisionally subject to the condition that, if called for an interview, they will have to produce proof of having passed the graduation examination on or before 01.07.2018

SBI PO 2018 Relaxation Provided

The Bank provides relaxation to aspirants belonging to SC/ST/OBC (Non-Creamy Layer), PwD aspirants, Ex-Servicemen, Commissioned Officers including Emergency Commissioned Officers and others as mentioned in the table below.

SBI PO 2018 How To Apply?

The Application and Registration procedure of SBI PO is to be carried out at their official website i.e. No Other method of application will be accepted by State Bank Of India.

The Application Fee for General aspirants is INR 600 and Application Fee for aspirants claiming reserved categories is INR 100. Aspirants can follow the steps mentioned below to apply for the exam.

  • Click on Careers
  • Attach your photograph and Signature.
  • On the listing page, click on Probationary Officers Appointment.
  • You will be redirected to the Career’s section of State Bank Of India.
  • From the drop-down, click on Apply Online.
  • Enter all the need details
  • Pay the Application Fee and save the clear application form
  • Go to website i.e.

Post successful registration, SBI sends a confirmation email to the registered email ID and SMS to the registered phone number.

SBI PO 2018 Payment of Fees

The Application Fee of INR 600 for General Aspirants and INR 100 for SC/ST/OBC aspirants can be paid via debit card/ credit card/ Internet Banking by providing information as asked on the screen. The transaction charges for online payment (if any) will be borne by the aspirants.

SBI PO 2018 Guidelines for the Test Day

Aspirants must follow the mentioned guidelines for the test day to make the organization of examination smoothly. They should not furnish any false, tampered/ fabricated particulars and they should not suppress any material information while filling up the application form.

  • Mobile phones, pagers or any other communication devices are not allowed inside the premises where the examination/interview is being organized. Any infringement of these instructions shall entail cancellation of candidature and disciplinary action including ban from future examinations.
  • Participants are not permitted to use or have in possession of calculators in examination premises.
  • The Bank would be analyzing the answers of an aspirant with other appeared aspirants to detect formats of similarity.  
  • On the basis of such an analysis, if it is established that the answers have been shared and scores obtained are not genuine/valid, the Bank reserves the right to cancel his/her candidature.
  • Aspirants are advised not to bring any of the banned items including mobile phones/ pagers to the venue of the examination/interview.
