POSOCO Appointment Via GATE 2018: Power System Operation Corporation Ltd. (POSOCO), a Government Enterprise has invited applications for the appointment of Engineers to join for the post of Executive Trainees in branches of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. GATE Score of 2017 or prior is not valid.
Participants should have sound health. The Corporation also provides excellent facilities such as Loans & Advances including House Building Advance, Medical facilities for self and dependents etc. to its regular employees in accordance with the policies of the organization, revised from time to time.

The applications are available online from May 28 to June 27, 2018. Overall vacancies announced for both the branches are 64 for which the distribution is tabulated below:

Aspirants applying for the post must have valid score in the corresponding examination of GATE 2018. Qualified branches for the post are: They must have finished B.E/ B.Tech/ B.Sc (Engineering) in the related or concerned specialization.
- Executive Trainees (Electrical Engineering): Electrical/ Electrical (Power)/ Electrical & Electronics/ Power System Engineering/ Power Engineering
- Executive Trainees (Computer Science): Information Technology/ Computer Science/ Computer Engineering
Only the aspirants having minimum 65% overall score in graduation are qualified to apply. Final year or semester students who are expecting their results to be declared by August 14, 2018 can also apply. As per the official notification, minimum age limit to apply is 21 years and maximum age limit is 2 years as on July 31, 2018.

The selection will be based on aspirant’s scores in GATE 2018 out of 100, Group Discussion and Personal Interview. Aspirants must register at the official portal of POSOCO. Group Discussion and Personal Interview, only the aspirants who have eligible GATE 2018 will be qualified. In case they are shortlisted for GD and PI, they will receive Interview call letter which they can download after logging in with the credentials received during the registration procedure. The registration fee for unreserved category aspirants is INR 500.
All the participants called for GD and PI will have to bring GATE score card and other relevant educational qualification and experience documents during Interview. These departmental aspirants required not pay any application fee. The exemption in minimum marks secured graduation will be given to the aspirants already working under POSOCO i.e 50%. POSOCO trainees will not be a part of departmental aspirants.
For unreserved category aspirants, qualifying marks for Personal Interview are 40% and for other category, aspirants are 30%. Final selection will be based on the overall weightage given to the phase of selection process.
- 85% weightage will be given to GATE 2018 scores,
- 12% to Personal Interview
- 3% to Group Discussion and
The pay scale for the post during one year of training will be INR 24,900 to INR 50,500 per month. Approximate CTC per annum after the training will be INR 15 lakhs.
