  • For aspirants want admission to Pharmacy courses, it is compulsory to appear for Paper II and Paper-I or Paper-III.
  • Since there are 3 papers in MHT CET, it is compulsory for aspirants want admission to engineering courses to appear for both Papers I and Paper II.
  • The paper will be organizeed for 90 minutes.
  • MHT CET syllabus is based on syllabi covered in 10+2 examination of HSC Board of Maharashtra. 
  • MHT CET will include objective type questions.
  • The medium is English, Marathi and Urdu
  • MHT CET 2018 will be organizeed via offline (pen and paper-based) mode
  • MH CET will include three papers, each of 100 marks.

DTE Maharashtra organizes MHT CET (Maharashtra Health and Technical Common Entrance Test) to shortlist aspirants for admissions to B.E/B. Tech and B.Pharm programs. It is scheduled to be organizeed in the third week of May 2018 (tentatively). Those students, who have passed their class XII or equivalent examination and wish to pursue undergraduate programs in engineering and pharmacy, are applicable to apply for MHT CET 2018.

Exam Format in Detail of MHT CET 2018

MHT CET 2018 will include three papers - Physics and Chemistry, Botany and Zoology, and Mathematics. All three subjects will have various papers and aspirants must appear and complete all these separately to seek admission in engineering or pharmacy courses. For engineering Paper 1 and Paper 2 are compulsory while for pharmacy courses aspirant must appear in Paper 2 and choose between Paper 1 or Paper 3.

Following is the exam format of MHT CET 2018 in detail:

  • However, Mathematics paper shall be in English only.
  • The test will consist of three question papers.
  • Each paper is of 100 marks.
  • Schedule of examination is such that Paper I will be organizeed from 10.00 a.m. to 11.30 a.m., Paper II will be from 12.30 p.m. to 02.00 p.m. and Paper III will be from 03.00 p.m. to 04.30 p.m.
  • MHT CET 2018 will be organizeed in offline method only i.e. aspirants will attempt the exam in pen paper based mode.
  • The medium for examination shall be English, Marathi or Urdu for Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.
  • One and half hour’s period is given to each section.
  • Paper 1 will be of Mathematics, Paper 2 will be Physics and Chemistry and Paper 3 will be of Biology (Zoology and Botany).

Note that exam will be organizeed at all the district headquarters in the State of Maharashtra.

Marking Scheme of MHT CET 2018

All three papers are of 1000 marks each. Each accurate response will be given mark/(s). There shall be no negative marking for wrong responses. However, the marking scheme is various in Paper 1 and Paper 2 and 3.

Aspirant wants admission to Engineering degree courses must appear for both Papers I and Paper II and aspirant want admission to Pharmacy degree course must appear for Paper II as well as in Paper-I and/or Paper-III.

Important Instructions of MHT CET (Common Entrance Test) Exam Pattern 2018

MHT CET is a pen paper-based test. Aspirants are permitted to take the Question Booklet outside the exam centre. Aspirants will be offered with OMR response sheets with each question paper. Following are some instructions to follow while responding on OMR sheet. At the end of each paper, the aspirant must hand over the OMR Response sheet to the examiner.

  • The aspirants must fully satisfy themselves about the accuracy of the response before darkening the suitable circle, as no change in the response once marked is allowed.
  • Response sheet will be evaluated by computerized scanning mode only. So, aspirants should clearly darken one and the only one best answer (circle).
  • Please do not fold the OMR sheet and do not make any stray marks on it.
  • The aspirant should not use any other mode for responding in OMR sheet-like Half circle, tick mark, or cross etc. This may not be read by the machine.
  • The aspirants need to mark the accurate response by blackening the corresponding circle against the serial number of the question in the response sheet with black ballpoint pen only.
