JEE Main 2018 Documents Required at Exam Center

JEE Main 2018 is scheduled to take place on April 02 (online mode) and April 08 & 09, 2018 (offline mode). Hence, it is crucial to know all the important JEE Main documents which are a need in order to sit for the examination. These documents are supposed to be carried in the exam center which will confirm the participant's identity.

  • JEE Main will not issue any hard copy of hall ticket.
  • JEE Main 2018 Hall Ticket will be available for download from the official website i.e.
  • Admit card for JEE Main, along with a valid ID Proof must be carried to the exam hall. 

JEE Main is the most prominent national level exam in the country. It is the gateway to enter the IITs/NITs/IIITs and such other CFTIs. Aspirants should have secured minimum 75% (65% for SC/ST) marks in the 12th class examination to appear for JEE Main.

Important Documents to be Carried at Exam Center

1. JEE Main 2018 Hall Ticket

Admit card is your main ticket to enter the examination hall. JEE Main hall ticket helps in confirming the participant's details and approves aspirant to sit for the JEE Main Exam. It is mandatory for everyone to carry their hall ticket allowed by CBSE to the situated JEE Main Exam Center.

2. Aadhar Card / Passport (ID you entered during Registration)

Aadhaar is a 12-digit unique identification number allocated by the Indian government to every personal resident of India. It is compulsory for the aspirant to bring Aadhar or passport as a document to support your details on the hall ticket and to verify one's identity.

3. Students who have qualified class 12th examination and have not opted for improvement in 2018 – 

  • Qualifying exam of the year 2014 or 2015
  • Qualifying exam of marks statement of class 12
  • Carry a Copy of Class 12 marks sheet  

4. Students who have qualified class 12th examination and have not opted for improvement in 2018 – 

  • Qualifying examination 2018
  • Carry admit card for improvement of performance in class 12

5. Students who are going to appear for the class 12th board exam in 2018 – 

  • Qualifying examination 2017
  • Carry admit card for class 12

JEE Main 2018 Exam Day Instructions

Other than bringing along your JEE Main 2018 need documents there are many other minor things which one required to keep in mind.

  • Aspirants should register their name at the registration counter and carry the e-Admit card and a valid ID proof for verification.
  • Aspirants must be current at the test center as per the reporting time mentioned on the e-Admit card.
  • They should also sign the attendance sheet in the presence of the examiner. Aspirants will have to use the ballpoint pen for the exam.
  • Aspirants are not allowed to carry any text material, printed, or written, bits of papers or any material except the e-Admit card inside the test hall.
  • The questions appearing will be in English. All questions will be of Multiple Choice Question(MCQ) types.
  • Aspirants are not allowed to leave the test hall till the completion of the entire period of the exam time. The period of the entrance examination will be of 3 hours.
  • Aspirants are not permitted to carry any electronic devices like mobile phones, paging devices, calculators, spy cameras etc.
