JEE (Joint Entrance Exam) Main 2018 Result

JEE Main Result is released separately for Paper 1 and Paper 2 at JEE Main Result 2018 date for Paper 1 is April 28, 2018, while the result for Paper 2 is expected to be announced in May. The qualifying marks in the form of JEE Main Cut Off will be mentioned on the scorecard.

  • To check JEE Main Result, enter Roll Number and Date of Birth (dd/mm/yyyy).

How to Check JEE Main Result 2018?

  1. Go to JEE Main Login
  2. Search for JEE Main 2018 Results and click on it
  3. Offer Roll Number and Date of Birth as on Hall Ticket
  4. Verify and submit the details
  5. Save and download JEE Main scorecard for future correspondence

Students with valid JEE Main score card can apply for admission via Counseling.

JEE Main Rank Calculation 2018

Merit list will be declared at the time of counseling and class 12 marks will not be considered for rank calculation. The formula used for calculating JEE Main score is- 

JEE Main Score = 4 marks x number of accurate responses - the number of wrong responses x 1

The actual scores of aspirants in JEE Main 2018 will be used to calculate the ranks. AIR will be affected straight by the scores obtained in JEE Main i.e. higher the scores, better the rank in JEE Main 2018. In case, two or more aspirants score equal marks, then the tie-breaking rule will be eligible.

JEE Main 2018 Rank List

In case, aspirants secure same marks then tie-break criteria will be applied on the basis of higher marks obtained in the subjects. If the tie-break doesn’t resolve then the same rank will be allotted to aspirants.

Tie-break criteria BE/B.Tech (other than IITs)

Higher Marks in Mathematics > Higher Marks in Physics > Ratio of Negative and Positive Marks (Higher Absolute Value) > Same Rank

Tie-break criteria for B.Arch (other than IITs)

Higher Marks in Aptitude Test > Higher Marks in Drawing Test > Ratio of Negative and Positive Marks (Higher Absolute Value) >Same Rank
