JEE Advanced Result 2018

JEE Advanced 2018 Result is likely to be declared in the 2nd week of June at JEE Advanced Result is released in the form of personal rank cards. All the applicants are informed about the declaration of result on their registered numbers.

Aspirants can simply enter their registration number and date of birth to view their JEE Advanced rank and marks. The rank list will comprise scores for both Paper 1 and Paper 2.

  • JoSAA conducts combined counseling for JEE Main and JEE Advanced Rank holders.
  • JEE Advanced 2018 is a national level entrance exam managed by 7 IITs on a rotational basis for admission to 23 IITs. 
  • For admission to B.Arch programs in IITs, aspirants should appear for AAT (Architecture Aptitude Test).
  • Aspirants can also download and view Response Keys from the official site in the first week of June 2018.
  • Seats are allotted on the basis of the cutoff for all the participating colleges.
  • AAT 2018 Results will be released in the third week of June 2018.

JEE Advanced 2018 is scheduled on May 20, 2018. JEE Mains 2018 Results is tentatively scheduled to be announced on  April 28, 2018. From 2018, top 2,24,000 All India Rank holders will qualify for the next stage – JEE Advanced.

How to Check JEE Advanced 2018 Results?

Aspirants can check their result after the notification is displayed in the official site. Following are the processes which the aspirants required to check the IIT Result 2018:

  • Log into the account using the application form number and Date of Birth. 
  • Visit the official website of JEE Advance to check the rank. The results will be declared on the official website.
  • Download the result and keep it for further usage. The next step will involve the aspirants to appear for counseling at allotted colleges.

Details Current in JEE Advanced Result 2018

JEE Advance 2018 Result would be declared by the IIT Madras on or after June 12, 2018. Aspirants will have to submit their application for counseling. Following are the particulars indicated JEE Advanced 2018 Result:

Merit List of JEE Advanced 2018

The total marks will be the sum of the marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics personally.  Merit list will be made on the basis of total marks obtained in JEE Advanced 2018.

Cut-off for JEE Advanced 2018

JEE Advanced cut-offs determine aspirants qualifying to participate in the admission counseling procedure. The authority board of CBSE announces JEE Main cut-off every year after completion of the exam. These are declared for each category and the Common Merit List. The aspirant cannot appear in the JEE Advanced exam without getting qualifying marks. Aspirants, who have either scored equal or more than the cut-off marks, can only go ahead for appearing in JEE Advanced.

If your mark is less than the cut-off marks then you will not be applicable to appear in JEE Advanced. However, you may apply for admission based on your JEE Main score.

At Least marks for the rank list:

  • Maximum marks in Chemistry: 124 (62 each in Paper-1 and Paper-2)
  • Maximum aggregate marks: 372 (186 each in Paper-1 and Paper-2)
  • Maximum marks in Physics: 124 (62 each in Paper-1 and Paper-2)
  • Maximum marks in Mathematics: 124 (62 each in Paper-1 and Paper-2)

Cut-off Marks for Top 20 Percentile

  • In case of aspirants who have passed the 12th examination in 2016 but appears any one of the subjects for improvement in 2017 then cut-off for the top 20 percentiles will be considered of the year 2016.
  • Top 20 percentile cut off for 2017 will be considered for the aspirants who pass the class 12th or its equivalent in 2017. Similarly, the top 20 percentiles cut off for 2016 will be considered for the aspirants who pass the 12th examination in 2016.
  • Category-wise cut off marks for top 20 percentile will be based on the marks scored by all the qualified aspirants in their respective boards in the particular year.
  • The cut-off marks for PwD aspirants will be the same as the lowest of the cut-off marks for GEN, OBC-NCL, SC and ST categories.

If the board doesn’t offer any information regarding the cut off of top 20 percentile then, in this case, aspirants have to produce a certificate from the respective Board saying that he/she falls in the top 20 percentile 0f successful aspirants. If aspirants fail to do this, then cut off marks specified by the CBSE board will be considered.

Counseling of JEE ADVANCED 2018

Joint Admission Board (JAB) led by the organising IIT will be carrying out the counseling process for selection of aspirants into the IITs and other affiliated institutes. The aspirants will be allotted the college and discipline as per their choice but in accordance to their AIR.

For that, the aspirants will have to wait for the declaration of the AIR and the counseling process will commence in the first week of July 2018. JEE Advanced Counseling is centrally managed computerized procedure and aspirants required to report straight at allotted colleges. 

Eligibility Criteria for JEE Advanced counseling and seat allocation

  • For admission to IITs, the aspirants must be within the category-wise top 20 percentile of successful aspirants in their respective class 12th or equivalent board exam.
  • They need to have obtained minimum 75% aggregate marks in class 12th or equivalent board exam. For aspirants belonging to SC, ST and PWD categories, the aggregate marks need for admission is 65%.
  • The aspirants should note that the counseling will be organizeed to only those aspirants whose rank will acceptable and under the ambit of the rank announced by different colleges.
