Institute of Rural Management Anand organizes an annual national level entrance exam, namely, IRMASAT (IRMA Social Awareness Test) for providing admissions to its AICTE approved 2-year programme, Postgraduate Diploma in Rural Management (PGDRM). The official notification for IRMASAT 2019 will be announced by IRMA in due course. IRMA provides 240 seats in PGDRM for prospective students. In this article, we discuss the salient features of the entrance test, on the basis of past trends:

  • Aspirants should note this that the IIMs and XLRI play no role, either in the selection procedure or in the organizing of the PGDRM program of IRMA.
  • IRMASAT Application Form 2019 will be available in both online (from the official website of IRMA) as well as offline (from the IRMA Admission Office) methods in January 2019.
  • For Indian Nationals, the final IRMA Result is expected to announce in March 2019 while the final merit list for Foreign Nationals will be declared by May 2019.
  • NRI/OCI/Foreign Nationals will be shortlisted on the basis of their GMAT/GRE scores and performance IRMASAT.
  • IRMA 2019 is organized in the online method and is expected to be held in February 2019.
  • IRMASAT is commonly referred to as IRMA.

Eligibility Criteria for IRMA 2019

IRMA provides an AICTE approved two-year program, Postgraduate Diploma in Rural Management (PGDRM) which has been given equivalent status to Master’s Degree in Rural Management by AIU and accredited by NBA as well. The eligibility conditions for the program are listed thus: IRMASAT is organized to select students for PGDRM.

  • There is no age limit specified for IRMA 2019.
  • Final year aspirants for qualifying exam are applicable to apply, offered the results of the qualifying examination is published before the start of IRMA session in June 2019.
  • Subject to confirmation of AICTE, Foreign Nationals/Persons of Indian Origin (PIO)/Wards of Indian Workers in Gulf Countries and Non-Resident Indian(s) can seek admission on the basis of their GMAT/ GRE Scores (taken on or after January 2014)/CAT 2018/XAT 2019 scores for PGDRM 2019 – 21. Aspirants of Indian Origin will have to current CAT/XAT/GMAT Score, as well as appear in the IRMASAT.
  • Participants under the Foreign National Category are selected on the basis of their GRE/GMAT scores and performance in the IRMA Individual Interview round. They do not need to appear for the IRMASAT entrance test.
  • A graduation Degree (minimum 10+2+3 model) in any branch, from a recognised University.
  • An at least aggregate score of 50% in the qualifying examination.

IRMA Application Form 2019

Participants can apply for IRMA 2019 in both online and offline methods. The online application form can be reached on the official website of IRMA while the hardcopy of the application form can be procured against the payment of a demand draft drawn in favor of ‘Institute of Rural Management Anand’, payable at Anand.

The Application window for Indian participants will be open tentatively from October 2018 until January 2019 while the submission deadline for the same will be March 2019 for aspirants under the Foreign Category. Please note that participants applying via the offline method of application obligatory to send the duly filled-in form well in time so as to avoid the cancellation of their candidature. Steps involved in IRMA 2019 Online Application Procedure are listed below:

  • An email will be sent to the participant’s registered email ID with an auto-generated password.
  • Participants should obtain prints of the filled-in application form for the records.
  • Scanned images of participants’ recent photograph, specimen signature as well as a self-attested copy of OBC (non-Creamy Layer)/SC/ST/DAP Certificate allotted by competent authority has to be uploaded to the online application form as per the specified pattern.
  • Participants should ensure that each information entered on the form, is accurate. It is recommended to preview the filled-in form prior to final submission in order to check for any mistakes as no request for any change or modification in the application form will be entertained once the same is submitted.
  • Fill up the IRMA 2019 Application Form meticulously with all details as specified in the form including individual, education, choice of the test center.
  • Next, participants obligatory to pay the application fees, which can be paid in both online as well as offline methods. The details of fee payment are elaborated in the following section.
  • Participants obligatory to register themselves at the official website of IRMA by entering their email id and nationality.
  • Participants can now log in to the IRMA website via the login window using the registered email ID and auto-generated password.

Please note:

  1. Participant’s name should match with that on the graduation certificate.
    Application form fees once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances.
  2. Online participants obligatory not send a print copy of filled in application form to the IRMA Admission office. However, participants want a waiver of application fee under the BPL category are need to send a print of the filled-in application form along with a self-attested BPL certificate, allotted by a competent authority to the Admissions Office within the submission deadline.

IRMA 2019 Application Fee

IRMA 2019 Application fee can be paid in both offline and online methods.

  • Participants can make the application fee payment online via the integrated payment gateway using either Net Banking or Credit/Debit Cards.
  • Foreign Nationals have the option of paying the application fees with either INR or their home currency.
  • For offline application fee payment, participants obligatory to obtain a print of the SBI challan from the IRMA website and make payment at any SBI discipline. Participants can then enter the details stamped on the challan to clear the IRMA application form on the official website.

IRMA Hall Ticket 2019

Participants who have submitted IRMA 2019 Application Form clear in all respects along with payment of the requisite fees will be allotted IRMA 2019 Hall Ticket. The same has to be downloaded from the official website. Please note that there are no other means of reaching the document other than downloading from the website.

IRMA 2019 Hall Ticket will be available online, a couple of weeks prior to the scheduled exam date. will be printed on the Hall Ticket. Aspirants obligatory to carry the Hall Ticket along with a valid photo ID proof and a photograph similar to the one affixed in the application form, in person to appear for the entrance exam. Details like Participant’s name, Registration Number, Photograph, Date of Birth, Exam Venue, Exam Date, and Timings, etc.

IRMA 2019 Syllabus

IRMA Social Awareness Test (IRMASAT) aims to evaluate aspirants’ awareness of present national allots and topics of social relevance in current-day India. It also suggests a list of topics given below that aspirants should research on, in preparation for IRMASAT: IRMA has, on its website a set of Mock Test and Sample papers for its entrance exam.

IRMA Result 2019

IRMA 2019 results will be announced separately for Indian participants and participants of Foreign National category. The results for both categories will be released online and aspirants can download their scorecards from the official website by using their login credentials. Results for the former are expected in March 2019 while the latter will be declared in May 2019.

IRMA Cut Off 2019

CAT/XAT scores are used to screen Indian Participants, while for foreign participants, GMAT or GRE scores are considered valid. The at least cut-off scores for these exams are decided by the exam organizing authority and the same is used for analyzing aspirants’ overall performance.

IRMA 2019 Cut Off will be released when the selected aspirants are intimated for group activity and individual interview rounds. The cut-off scores are decided on the basis of the overall performance of the aspirants in the entrance exam. IRMA 2017 cut off has been tabulated below.

IRMA 2019 Selection Procedure

On the basis of IRMA 2019 final results and the merit list thereof, shortlisted aspirants will be provided admission to the PGDRM program at IRMA. IRMA Merit list will include the names and details of the qualified students. There will be two further selection rounds viz. Group Discussion and of Individual Interview. Students who will be selected in the merit list and score more than the cut off marks will be considered for admission.

Aspirants selected for IRMA 2019 Counseling Procedure should follow the steps given below:

  1. They obligatory to register themselves at the official website of IRMA.
  2. After registering, lock preferences of colleges within the given time duration. No further changes will be allowed once the choices are locked.
  3. Aspirants will be issued colleges on the basis of merit-cum-preference.
