Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) is recognized by the University Grants Commission(UGC), India. It provides different undergraduate, postgraduate, and Ph.D. courses.
To serve to the required of working professionals in different sectors, the university provides weekend MBA programs. As the demands for newer technologies increase every day, professionals required to keep up with that without having to leave their job. So, IP University Weekend MBA programme offers a great opportunity to them to upgrade their knowledge and skills without compromising on their full-time jobs.
While admission to full-time courses at GGSIPU is done via IPUCET 2018, MBA Weekend programme admits through an interview round only. There are a total of 120 seats available. The last date to apply is May 15.

IP University Weekend MBA Eligibility Criteria
- They should have work experience of minimum one year after the qualifying exam as an executive/supervisor/teacher.
- “No objection” certificate required to be produced during the time of admission from the aspirant’s present employer.
- Aspirants required to have a graduation or its equivalent in any branch. They should have minimum 50% aggregate marks in the qualifying examination.
IP University Weekend MBA Application Procedure 2018
- Classes for the selected aspirants will be held on Saturday and Sunday only.
- Application forms for the weekend programme are available on the University official website www.ipu.ac.in.
- Once all the eligibility criteria are met, aspirants can register themselves, fill the application form and submit the need fees for getting admission in the university.
- The last date to apply is May 15.
IP University Weekend MBA Admission Criteria
Once the eligibility requirements are met, aspirants required to fulfill the admission criteria to get admission in the weekend programmes.
Admission is based on the marks obtained in the qualifying examination and also on the individual interview organized by the University. A final merit list will be prepared based on the following criteria:
- 30% weight will be given to the aspirant’s performance in the individual interview.
- 70% weight will be given to the percentage of marks secured in the qualifying examination.

Evaluation Process for IP University Weekend MBA
- There is a continuous and dynamic evaluation of the students.
- Each paper carries a total weight of 100 marks.
- There are 2 types of evaluation carrying various weights:
- The evaluation is done in each trimester.

Internal Evaluation
- This is done by the teachers of the university who will teach the subjects to the students.
- The components which are part of the assessment comprise:

- This is tentative and the exact breakup will be decided by the related teacher and informed to the students before the beginning of each trimester.
External Evaluation
- This will be done at the end of each semester and the total marks will be 60.
- To complete a paper, a student required to score 50% in both internal and external evaluation.
- This evaluation will be done in the form of a written test based on the syllabus of the course.
