CUCET Exam Pattern 2019 Marking Scheme, Syllabus

CUCET 2019 Exam Format will include 2 parts, i.e. Part A and Part B. Part A will consist of 25 questions from the English Language, General Awareness, Mathematical Aptitude, Analytical Skills whereas Part B will consist of 75 questions focusing on the aspirants’ domain/subject.

CUCET 2019 exam will be held in the offline method. For programs, such as integrated courses/B.Voc./MBA/MCA/LLB or any other general course(s), there will be only one paper comprising of 100 MCQs. These obligatory to be finished in 2 hours period. The question papers for the program will contain MCQs (multiple-choice questions) with a total of 100 questions. It will include subjects: English Language, Reasoning, Data Interpretations/ Numerical Ability, General Awareness and Analytical Skills.

Central Universities Common Entrance Test or CUCET 2019 is an annual exam scheduled to take place in June 2019. It is organized by eight universities for aspirants wants admission to UG/ Integrated, Post Graduate, and Research Program. CUCET Exam Format 2019: Details

CUCET 2019 exam is divided into 2 parts, Part A of which includes 25 questions while Part B includes 75 questions. Aspirants can check detailed CUCET Exam Format 2019.

  • The exam consists of Multiple Choice Questions to be finished in 2 hours.
  • Part B is further sub-divided into 3 sections and has 75 MCQs from the domain knowledge.
  • For combined Courses/MCA/MBA/LLM/LLB or any other normal course(s), only 1 paper will be given, containing 100 MCQs.
  • The question paper will be in English Language only.
  • One mark will be honored for every accurate response while 0.25 marks will be deducted for every inaccurate response.
  • Part A will cover topics from English language, General Awareness. Mathematical aptitude and analytical skills.
  • If the aspirant responses all the questions from all the sections then the best of 3 sections will be considered in the merit list.
  • The period of the exam will be 2 hours and will be organized in the offline method.

Key Points for CUCET 2019 

  1. The above exam format is relevant to Under Graduate and integrated programs in Science Stream, and PG/B.ED/ Integrated M.Sc B.Ed/ Post Graduate Diploma Programs
  2. CUCET 2019 Exam Format for Arts stream comprises only 1 test paper. The question paper consists of 100 MCQs in the following attitude: English, Numerical Aptitude/Data Interpretation, Analytical Skills, Reasoning, General Aptitude and General Knowledge.
  3. CUCET Exam Format for Research programs is similar to UGC CSIR and other NET JRF exam. Ph.D. program papers consist of two sections. Part A includes 50 questions based on research methodology including English and General Knowledge and Numerical ability. Part B consists of 50 questions from the respective subject domain.
  4. CUCET Exam Format for B.Ed differs from other courses. However, the number of questions and marking scheme remains the same consisting of 3 sections:
  1. Part A (25 MCQs): General Awareness
  2. Part B (35 MCQs): Teaching Aptitude
  3. Part C (40 MCQs): It is further divided into 4 sub-sections. Aspirants have to attempt any one section from them as per the eligibility.

  4. Section 4: Life Sciences

Marking Scheme for CUCET 2019

Each response carries 1 mark and they will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for every wrong response. Questions left unresponsive will not be assessed or considered. The article will give clear details on the CUCET 2019 exam format, marking scheme, syllabus etc.

The aspirants will have to choose one accurate response and mark on OMR Sheet. If an aspirant marks multiple entries in the OMR Sheet for the particular question(s), it will be treated as the wrong response with negative marking.

Syllabus for CUCET 2019

Aspirants must follow the syllabus of Class 12 for admission to UG/Integrated courses, while for admission in Post Graduate Courses and NET/ JRF research programs, respective Under Graduate syllabus should be followed.

CUCET Syllabus for UG/Integrated Programmes (3/4/5 years)

For Part A of CUCET Under Graduate courses, there is no definite official syllabus. However, the questions will be asked from the following areas:

  • English Language
  • Mathematical Aptitude
  • Analytical Skills
  • General Awareness

Aspirants should refer to any of the following subjects for Part B. The syllabus is based on the general Class 12 level syllabus for the respective courses:
