BUMAT Exam Pattern 2018

BUMAT (Bharati Vidyapeeth Undergraduate Management Aptitude Test) is a national level entrance exam organizeed every year for admitting candidates into BBA and BCA courses provideed by Bharati Vidyapeeth University and its affiliated institutes. Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University, the organizeing body of BUMAT, has scheduled this test in the first week of June 2018.

BUMAT 2018 will consist of 200 objective type questions of 1 mark each, negative marking will not be eligible.The method of the exam will be offline and medium of paper will be English.

Period of the exam will be 2 hours 30 minutes. The question paper will be divided into four sections namely,

  • Quantitative Aptitude
  • Verbal Ability.
  • Reading Comprehension
  • Logical Reasoning

The period of BUMAT 2018 examination is 2 hours 30 minutes. It will be organizeed in offline mode, i.e., it is a pen-paper based test. The following table summarizes Exam Format and Syllabus:

There is no negative marking for wrong response.

Marking Scheme of BUMAT 2018

The exam will be organizeed in offline mode. Candidates will have to mark their answers on an OMR sheet.

  • Aspirants must choose the most suitable option which he feels is the right response.
  • Each accurate answer will fetch 1 mark and there will be no negative marking.
  • Each question is followed by 4 options, choose the accurate option among the given

Reading Comprehension

The Reading Comprehension section analyzes how effectively an aspirant reads a given passage. The objective of this section is to test the ability of the aspirants to express the meaning of the content in the comprehension.

This portion analyses how effectively an aspirant can read a given passage, analyze and apprehend the content in it. It aims to test the ability of the aspirants to derive and express the meaning of the content given in the passage.

To attempt this section a student should make the habit of solving questions based on comprehension to increase their words read per minute speed and the speed of comprehending a passage.

Important Instructions

The students need to abide by certain instructions on the day of BUMAT 2018 examination i.e. June 4, 2017.

  • Reporting time: The students should arrive at their respective test centre 30 minutes before the commencement of examination.
  • The aspirants should take the seat in the examination hall stating their respective Roll Number mentioned in their hall ticket 10 minutes before the commencement of examination.
  • No aspirant is allowed to enter the examination hall 30 minutes after the commencement of examination.

Instructions for filling the response sheet/OMR sheet of BUMAT 2018

While filling the OMR sheet the students should follow the instructions mentioned in the question booklet and accordingly fill the details. Any misappropriation of OMR sheet will lead to rejection of the student from the BUMAT examination.

  • Each question has 4 options. In the OMR sheet, the student should darken the circle corresponding to the most suitable or the accurate response.
  • The students should use an HB pencil or a Blue or Black Ball Point Pen
  • The students must correctly fill his Roll Number, Test booklet Number, Name and go via the instructions given at the top of OMR sheet.
  • If the students are using an HB pencil, he/she can change the response by properly erasing the earlier response. Otherwise, if the student is using ballpoint pen marking two responses will invalidate the question.
  • The responses being marked with tick marks will also be considered invalid.
