APECET Syllabus 2018

JNT University Anantapur organizes the AP Engineering Common Entrance Test for those aspirants who wish to get lateral admission into 2nd year regular B.E., B.Tech, and B.Pharmacy Courses. Aspirants who are going to appear in this examination they can get their course wise syllabus for entrance exam by going via this page.

The syllabus of the AP ECET will contain the topics and subjects that one had studied in their qualifying examination. The question will also be prepared from the engineering disciplines, like Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics & Instrumentation, Electrical, Computer Science, etc. Paper will be prepared from subjects such as Mathematics, Chemistry & Physics. Students should study all the subjects comprised in these disciplines.

The question paper is published in English language only. 3 hours will be given to response all the questions. The whole paper consists of 200 questions. The exam will be of Objective Type.

AP ECET 2018 Exam Format

The exam would be of 200 marks with 200 objective type questions and the distribution of marks would be as per the examination format mentioned below:

Engineering Steam: Mathematics – 50 Marks (Common to all disciplines); Physics – 25 Marks (Common to all disciplines); Chemistry 25 Marks (Common to all disciplines); Engg (Civil /Electrical / Mechanical / Electronics & Communication/Computer/Chemical/Metallurgical/Mining/Electronics & Instrumentation / Ceramic Technology / Bio-Technology as the case may be) – 100 (Separate question paper for each discipline of Engg); Total: 200 Marks.

Pharmacy Stream: Pharmaceutics – 50 Marks; Pharmaceutical Chemistry – 50 Marks; Pharmacognosy – 50 Marks; Pharmacology – 50 Marks; Total – 200 Marks.

B.Sc (Mathematics) Stream: Mathematics – 100 Marks; Analytical Ability – 50 Marks; Communicative English – 50 Marks; Total – 200 Marks.

The entrance test is of 3 hours period and question paper compromises of a total of 200 questions as per the scheme of the entrance. All questions are objective type (multiple choice only). Each question carries one mark.

The test timings are 10:00 am to 1:00 pm.

AP ECET 2018 Qualifying Marks

The at least percentage for gaining a rank in AP ECET 2018 is 25 percent of the total marks in the four subjects (3 subjects for B.Sc Maths) i.e., 50 marks out of a total of 200; however in the case of SC/ST aspirants there would be no at least qualifying marks for ranking the aspirants.

The rank gained with the benefit of relaxation of the at least qualifying marks at the AP ECET 2018 [FDH & B.Sc (Mathematics)] by any aspirant claiming to belong to ST/SC category would be canceled in case the claim is established to be invalid at the time of admission.
