AILET Results 2018
AILET 2018 Result for BA LLB course will be declared in the last week of May 2018. AILET 2018 Result for LLM and Ph.D. programs will be declared in July 2018.
- The results will feature the AIR (All India Rank) of all aspirants and will also specify their marks for each subject
- AILET 2018 results will have separate lists as per the aspirant’s category (General, OBC, SC, ST, PWD and Kashmiri Migrants)
- Aspirants will have to keep their roll number handy while checking the results. They will have to log in with their name and roll number to get their results.
- Aspirants who will have to visit the official website of AILET to check their result and rank.
- AILET 2018 Result will be announced in PDF pattern
- AILET 2018 results will be released separately for each of the provideed program– BA LLB, LLM and Ph.D.
NLU will issue call letters to Round 1 of AILET counseling and admission after the result and merit list is declared. Aspirants can download the result and merit lists from the official NLU website www.nludelhi.ac.in.
Dates for AILET 2018
Aspirants must note the following dates which are important for AILET 2018 results:

Aspirants must note that these are tentative dates only and might change at the discretion of the exam organizing body, National Law University. Aspirants must keep a check on AILET official website for the final dates.
How to Check AILET Results 2018?
Aspirants are advised to check their results by visiting the official website of AILET 2018. The PDF versions will be available for download according to the following categories:
- Scheduled Caste (SC)
- Kashmiri Migrants (KM)
- Persons with Disability (PWD)
- Scheduled Tribe (ST)
- General (GN)
Aspirants will have to follow the steps given below to obtain their result:

Merit List of AILET 2018
AILET 2018 Merit List will be prepared based on the following criteria:
- Number of aspirants who have appeared for AILET 2018
- Number of aspirants who have qualified AILET 2018
- previous year’s cut-off and number of qualifying students
- Difficulty level of the question paper
- Number of aspirants who have registered for AILET 2018
- Mean and Median marks received by aspirants
- Average marks obtained by all aspirants
Cut Off of AILET 2018
NLU declares a cut off for AILET 2018 post result and merit list declaration. The cutoff forms the basis of shortlisting aspirants for admission into law programs. For admission in BA LLB programs, AILET 2017 Cut off was:
- 98 out of 150 for General category
- 60 for Scheduled Tribe
- 82 for Kashmiri Migrants
- 65 for Scheduled Caste
- 58 for Person with Disability
For admissions to LLM programs, AILET 2017 Cut off was:
- 85 out of 150 for General category
- 65 for Person with Disability
- 70 for Scheduled Caste
- 52 for Scheduled Tribe
Tie Breaker
In case of a situation where two or more aspirants score the same marks, NLU Delhi has set a few standards.
- If two or more aspirants get the same percentage of marks in AILET, then their merit will be determined on the basis of percentage of marks of 12th or equivalent examination.
- If their merit is still the same, then the marks of the 10th standard will be considered.
- If the tie still continues, then the aspirant higher in age will get preference.
Counseling of AILET 2018
AILET 2018 Counseling process is various for each of the program. Aspirants can follow the table below for a completer idea about the counseling procedure.
- Aspirants will have to check the results from the official AILET website.
- Post receiving the letter, they must pay the requisite fee to participate in the counseling process.
- After first round concludes, spot counseling will be carried out for vacant seats. AILET Spot Counseling will be the last round of counseling. It is valid for aspirants on the waiting list.
- If their name is on the list, then they will receive a provisional admission letter by NLU Delhi.
- Once the fee is paid to the admission authority, aspirants will be alloted a final confirmation letter from National Law University.
- Aspirants can then participate in the first round of counseling.
AILET Counseling Procedure for LLM 2018
Admission to LLM Programme will be based on the following at least eligibility criteria along with the merit in AILET:
- 45 Marks & above for aspirants belonging to SC and ST Category
- 60 Marks & above for aspirants belonging to General and PWD Category
Aspirants can follow the process below for the detailed steps of the LLM counseling procedure:
- Aspirants will have to check the results from the official AILET website.
- Aspirants can then participate in the counseling.
- If their name is on the list, then they will receive a provisional admission letter by NLU Delhi.
- Once the fee is paid to the admission authority, aspirants will be alloted a final confirmation letter from National Law University.
- Post receiving the letter, they must pay the requisite fee to participate in the counseling process.
AILET Counseling Procedure for PhD 2018
Aspirants required the following competencies to be applicable for PhD admissions:
- Clearance by the Doctoral Committee based on the presentation of Research Proposal
- Clearance of Research Proposal by Scrutiny Committee
- Clearance of AILET will be exempted in case of UGC NET/ JRF/ SELT and M.Phil
Aspirants must first check their result by visiting NLU, Delhi’s official website: www.nludelhi.ac.in. Aspirants will then have to attend an interview where he/ she will have to present their research proposal. If selected, the aspirant will receive an interview letter from NLU.

- 2 copies of AILET Score Card
- Original AILET Hall Ticket with 2 photocopies.
- Original Caste Certificate signed by an authorized authority and 2 copies.
- Bank Demand Draft as per the prescribed instructions
- Original 12th Class Certificate and mark sheets with 2 photocopies
- original AILET Counseling Letter with the 2 photocopies
- Original 10th Class Certificate and mark sheets with 2 photocopies
- 6 Passport size photographs
2. Documents need for AILET 2018 Counseling Procedure (LLM)
- Sufficient Passport size photographs
- Original counseling/ interview call letter along with the photocopy of counseling/ interview call letter
- Community certificate (SC/ ST/ OBC other) signed by the authorized authority
- Original copy of the Hall Ticket
- Original hall ticket along with the photocopy of hall ticket.
- Copy of AILET Examination Score Card
- All the originals proving your educational qualification and minimum two photocopies of 10th and 12th class mark sheets, B.A.LL.B mark - sheet
3. Documents need for AILET 2018 Counseling Procedure (PhD)
- Copy of Examination Score Card
- All the originals proving your educational qualification and minimum two photocopies of 10th and 12th class mark sheets, B.A.LL.B mark sheet, LLM Mark sheet
- Original AILET Hall Ticket along with the photocopy of hall ticket.
- Sufficient Passport size photographs
- Community certificate (SC/ ST/ OBC other) signed by the authorized authority.
- Original copy of the Hall Ticket
- Original counseling/ interview call letter along with the photocopy of counseling/ interview call letter
- A valid Research Proposal
