Vivekananda College is a public college situated in Kolkata, West Bengal. It was founded in 1950 as Barisha College later on a name was renamed to “Vivekanand College”. There are total 700 students enrolled in various courses every year.

Vivekananda College Thakurpukur provides Under Graduate and Post Graduate courses. At the Under Graduate level, the college provides B.A, B.Sc and B.Com (Hons. and general).  M.A in 2 specializations is provideed at the Post Graduate level.

College provides B.Sc. (general) and B.Sc (Hons). is provideed in 12 specializations. B.Sc General is provideed in 2 specializations and B.Sc. Hons.

For admission in B.Sc courses, registration is done in offline mode. Aspirants can download the application form from the official website as well as they can obtain the same from College Office. 

Selection of aspirants for admission is made strictly on the basis of merit/marks. The college will publish the combined merit list of shortlisted aspirants.

B.Sc General

  • The aspirant should have passed class 12 from a recognised board.
  • SC/ST Aspirants required 40% in top four subjects.
  • Participants required to obtain at least 50% marks in top four subjects in class 12.
  • Aspirants must have 30% in top four subjects in class 12th board examination.

The registration is done in offline method only. Documents need for Admission:

  2. Original and attested copies of Hall Ticket and Mark sheet of the last Public Examination.
  3. Original and attested copies of Hall Ticket of Madhyamik or Equivalent Examination as proof of age.
  4. Original and attested copies of Certificate from the Competent Authority for the caste of S.C. / S.T. important; list-style-type:disc">Each application form has a unique no., so the photocopy of the application form will not be entertained.

  7. Original Migration Certificate for students migrating from other Boards / University, if available.
  8. Three copies of stamp size recent (not before 6 months) photograph of the student.
