Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU) is a prominent university in India which is founded to offer knowledge via course containing concepts of food production procedures, agriculture techniques and home science to the students.
Applications are invited by TNA University for UG degree program under various specializations such as Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry, Home Science, Agricultural Engineering and Food Procedure Engineering for the academic year 2018. The UG degree courses are provided at different campuses of TNA University which comprises Coimbatore, Madurai, Trichy, Killikulam, Periyakulam, and Mettupalayam.
Students can apply in online as well as in offline mode. Merit is the only criteria for admission. After generation of merit list students will be called for counseling cum document verification procedure.

Agriculture
Age Limit: Student should not be more than 21 years at the time of admission i.e. July 01, 2016. There is no age limit for students belonging to SC/ST & SCA.
Duration: Min-3 years, Max-6 years
Qualification: Students must have passed 10+2 with 60% marks in any of:
Group I: Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry & Biology
Group II: Physics, Chemistry, and Biology with an elective (fourth) subject concerned to Science stream. Students must note that evaluation for this subject will be considered in terms of marks not in terms of grades.
Group II (A): Students with Physics, Chemistry, Botany, and Zoology are equally applicable for B.Sc Course.

Qualification: Students must have passed 10+2 with 60% marks in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology or Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Computer Science.
Note: Students who have finished their 10+2 Education from the state of Tamil Nadu can only apply for the admission in undergraduate courses and if they are not fulfilling this condition then they must have the permanent residency (PR) Certificate of Tamil Nadu state. The maximum number of attempts to complete the qualifying exam is three for SC/ST & two for all other communities.
Students can apply for the admission via online as well as offline mode.
Students can download the form from the official website of the TNA University i.e. www.tnau.ac.in and can submit duly filled and signed form along with the demand draft of INR 1000 in favor of The Controller, Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore-3" payable at "Coimbatore" and send it to:

Calculation of Aggregate marks:
Aggregate marks will be calculated on the basis of maximum marks obtained by the student in group I, II, II (A) & III multiplied by 50.
In case of qualifying examination other than Tamil Nadu HSC, a normalization process will be followed as prescribed by Tamil Nadu Professional Education Institution Act 2006. All students called for counseling have to pay the non-refundable fee of INR 2000 (INR 1000 for SC/ST/SCA) in online method to generate the counseling call letter.
Students who have joined in some other institution, but seeking to attend the counseling at TNAU, have to produce the bonafide certificate allowed by the existing institute along with photocopies of original certificates & attested copies of marks sheet. Single window counseling will be performed for all degree courses & campus allocation.
Students will be called for counseling according to their position in the merit list. Students must satisfy the at least eligibility criteria.
Determination of Merit:
If more than one student has obtained same aggregate marks in the merit list then the final seat will be allotted to the student by following the below-mentioned priority order.
Counseling Process:
Students have to report to the University with all relevant marks sheet & documents. As part of the counseling proceedings, a hall ticket will be allowed to the student mentioning their degree & campus allotted.
The same information will also be displayed on university’s official website. Priorities once made could not be changed after.
Date, Time & venue regarding counseling will be informed to the student via e-mail & on valid mobile number offered by them at the time of application. Updation in marks will not be entertained at the time of counseling. Students have to select the college & degree available at that time of counseling.
Reservation norms will be followed as decided by the Government of Tamil Nadu for Under Graduate courses provided by TNAU.
