SOL Delhi University UG Admission 2018

School of Open Learning (SOL) provides BA, BA (Hons.) and B.Com (Hons.) courses via distance education mode. These courses are termed as a suitable solution to those students who wanted admission to regular courses in Delhi University (DU), but couldnโ€™t make it due to the year-wise increasing trend of the cut-offs.

The minimum eligibility criteria to secure admission in the courses provided by SOL DU is a pass in 10+2 in the cognate subject group with a minimum percentage of marks (category-wise). SOL authority announces a course-specific merit list after which the aspirants are called for further admission proceedings. Final admission to all the courses is completely merit-based.

SOL DU Under Graduate Eligibility Criteria 2018

Bachelor of Commerce [B.Com], Bachelor of Arts [BA] (English) & Bachelor of Arts [BA] (Hindi)

40% aggregate (36% for OBC and 38% for PWD) in 10+2 in best five subjects. A pass in 10+2 is sufficient for SC/ST aspirants.

Bachelor of Arts [BA] {Hons.} (English)

60% aggregate marks (54% for OBC and 57% for PWD)) in 10+2 with 70% marks (63% for OBC and 66.5% for PWD) in English OR 60% marks (54% for OBC and 57% for PWD) in English elective/ functional English offered an aspirant has appeared in a paper in the subject of English carrying a credit of 100 marks along with one language + three academic subjects (vocational stream is not allowed).

Bachelor of Arts [BA] {Hons.} (Political Science)

50% aggregate marks (45% for OBC and 47.5% for PWD) with one subject and three academic subjects, i.e. no vocational subject will be counted

Bachelor of Commerce [B.Com] {Hons.}

55% (49.5% for OBC and 52.25% for PWD) in best four without vocational subject or 60% with vocational subject.

The application form for all the courses provided by SOL DU can be filled by following the given steps:

  1. Visit the official website of SOL DU and fill the application form.
  2. Upload the need documents and pay the course fee via IDBI or UBI payment gateway.
  3. Take the printout of the duly filled form along with the e-receipt of the course fee for future reference.
  4. Click on โ€˜Print ID Cardโ€™. Further information will be intimidated via SMS on the registered phone number.

Note: The aspirants belonging to the Physically disabled category are exempted from the application fee. Such aspirants have to report at the SOL Office, Delhi University, North Delhi Campus or South Study Center at South Moti Bagh, New Delhi-21 along with their documents for final admission.

Aspirants is selected on the basis of their marks in 10+2. Shortlisted aspirants are invited for further admission proceedings by SOL DU.

SOL DU Under Graduate Admission Note

There are no minimum qualifying marks criteria for SC/ST. They have to secure a minimum passing marks in 10+2 in order to be qualified for admission to the Under Graduate courses.
