IIM Calcutta is one of the topmost institutions of India for management education. This institute strives to equip the students with respect to today’s scenario to face upcoming challenges in tomorrow. IIM-C provides a two-year full-time residential program in management, PG Diploma in Management (PGP-PGDM).This program is committed to developing business fundamentals in areas of marketing, finance, Economics & Operations management.
Aspirants with bachelor degree along with minimum 50% marks in aggregate from a recognised institution or university can only apply for PGP PGDM at the institute. Students must also possess valid CAT (GMAT for foreign nationals) score in order to be applicable for admission to IIM-C MBA program.
There are two ways for admissions to the PGP PGDM: one for Indian students and the other is for overseas aspirants. The admission proceedings and application procedures for both are different. Final selection of an aspirant will depend on CAT score, Academic weightage, Academic Diversity Factor for Bachelor Degree (ADFB) & Performance in WAT & PI.
Students looking for admission have to apply online via the official website of CAT test. Clearly, filled-in applications should be submitted online along with the prescribed procedures fee within the stipulated time.

Aspirants must possess the at least qualification in order to apply for CAT as discussed below:
Note 1: A recognised university is one which is constituted by an act of the Central or State Legislature. It also comprises any university or institute which is founded by an act of Parliament or is declared as Deemed to be University under Section 3 of the UGC Act of 1956. In such cases, an aspirant will have to submit a certificate alloted by Principal/Registrar of the College/Institution.
Note 2: In case of Universities which award grades or CGPA, but do not have a process for conversion of grades to the percentage, the equivalent percentage will be calculated by the given procedure:
(Aspirant’s CGPA/Maximum CGPA) X 100 = Equivalent Percentage
Students want admission to MBA program at IIMC should apply via official CAT website. The registration fee is INR 1700/- (For General and NC-OBC aspirants) and INR 850/- (For SC/ST/ OBC aspirants).
For admission to IIM Calcutta, aspirants will have to select the name of program provideed at the institutes as per their preference. Along with the preference for a program, aspirants also have to enter their choice of city for an interview.
PGP-PGDM is a two-year full-time residential program. Criteria for shortlisting & final selection for PGP-PGDM is discussed as This course involves a compulsory credit-based curriculum & a non-credit based compulsory summer internship.
STAGE 1: Comprises the basic criteria to be considered for PI:
Aspirants need to obtain at least sectional cutoff in order to score optimum marks.

Aspirants, who will score at least desired marks in above-mentioned sections, will only be shortlisted for further calculation of the composite score.
Note: Students must keep in mind that actual sectional marks may be much higher than the at least marks listed above, as shortlisting for PI is done on the basis of personal composite score.
Calculation of Composite score for STAGE I:
Composite score will be calculated on the basis of marks of class Xth, XIIth& gender diversity factor. Marks will be optimized on the basis of rules given below:

In order to compute the percentage of marks for Xth & XIIth standard, authorities will consider all the subjects mentioned on the marks sheet alloted by the board irrespective of whether the board has considered those subjects for percentage calculation or not.
Composite score will be used to shortlist the aspirants for PI round. A below listed table is presenting the idea to calculate corresponding category wise weightage.

*Students with any of the graduate degree will be considered for admission: BA, BA (H), B.Sc, B.Sc.(H), BS, B.Com, B.Com(H), BCA, BBA, B.Pharm, LL.B, MBBS, BDS or any other Non-Engineering degree, which are not mentioned above.
In case of work experience, maximum 4 points will be honoured (depending on the period of service). Only managerial work experience will be considered after degree, no other project work, training or work in the academic department will be considered.

Admission Policy for Overseas aspirants
Students, living or working outside India will be considered as the overseas aspirant. At a second stage, the composite score will be calculated in the same attitude as for CAT candidates. However, those aspirants who are expected to be in India in for the duration of CAT will not be applicable to apply under the overseas category.
Shortlisting criteria for PI:
At this stage equivalent GMAT percentile will be calculated corresponding to its CAT score. Shortlisted students need to appear for PI & WAT at IIMC during February-March. Interviews will be organizeed at Kolkata, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Mumbai & New-Delhi only.
