Indian Institute of Forest Management (IIFM) is one of the premier institutions in the country, established in 1982, and situated with its primary branch in Bhopal. The Institute offers degrees in forest management with the aid of the Ministry of Forestry. Application forms are available online on the official university website, as well as can be obtained in person from the IIFM campus.
Those who wish to pursue the PGDFM course at this university may apply to do so through the official university website, or by purchasing and submitting the form in person within the given time period. In addition, candidates must apply for the CAT or XAT as well, directly to the boards conducting these examinations. IIFM considers the scores but does not play a role in the conduction of these examinations. The eligibility criteria for Post Graduate Diploma in Forest Managment (PGDFM) offered at Indian Institute of Forest Management (IIFM) has been explained below:
Eligibility
A candidate must hold a bachelor’s degree in any discipline with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA (45% in case of candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Differently Abled (DA) (it may also be referred to as Persons With Disability (PWD) categories), awarded by any of the universities incorporated by an Act of the central or state legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be Deemed as a University Under Section 3 of the UGC Act 1956, or possess an equivalent qualification recognized by the Ministry of Human resource Development, Government of India. Candidates appearing for the final year of bachelor’s degree/equivalent qualification examination and those who have completed degree requirements and are awaiting results can also apply
Besides registering for CAT / XAT, candidates are also required to register with IIFM, Bhopal through a separate Application Form which will be available along with Information Brochure. Common Admission Test (CAT 2017) - All applicants desirous of seeking admission in PGDFM at IIFM have to appear for Common Admission Test (CAT) conducted by Indian Institute of Management (IIMs). IIFM will use the CAT score for short-listing the candidates for calling for GD/PI. IIMs have no role either in the selection process or in the conduct of the programme.

Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT 2018) - Have to appear for Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT) conducted by XLRI, by responding to their notification published in leading national dailies. IIFM will use XAT score for short-listing the candidates for calling for GD/PI. XLRI have no role either in the selection process or in the conduct of the programme.

Candidates shortlisted on the basis of CAT/XAT score will be called for Written Aptitude Test / Interview at Bhopal, New Delhi, Bengaluru and Kolkata based on the choice of candidates, as mentioned in the Application Form. However, IIFM reserves the right on the allotment of choice of the center to the candidates.
