Indira Gandhi University Meerpur, Rewari was founded on September 3, 2013. University provides undergraduate and postgraduate courses in different streams such as Arts, Science, Computer Science, Humanities Management.

Duration, of course, is 2 years. or Pass) degree. Admissions to M.Sc courses will be based on performance in the entrance exam.

Indira Gandhi University has laid various eligibility criteria based on the courses provideed. The eligibility criteria are as follows:
- M.Sc (Botany): B.Sc (Hons.) in Botany or B.Sc (Pass) with Botany and any two of the subjects namely anthropology, biochemistry, biotechnology, chemistry, environmental science, genetics, microbiology and zoology with minimum 50% marks in aggregate or any exam recognised by I.G. For SC/ST aspirants, 47.5% marks are need in aggregate).
- M.Sc (Physics): B.Sc (Hons.) in Physics or B.Sc (Pass) with Physics and Mathematics as two of the subjects with minimum 50% marks in aggregate or any exam recognised by I.G. important; list-style-type:disc">M.Sc (Maths) and M.Sc (Maths with computer science): B.A/B.Sc (Hons.) in Mathematics or B.A/B.Sc (Pass) with Mathematics as one of the subjects with minimum 50% marks in aggregate or any exam recognised by I.G. University or equivalent to it. For SC/ST aspirants, 47.5% marks are needed in aggregate.
- M.Sc (Geography): Bachelor degree/ Shastri examination of the three-year period with minimum 45% marks in aggregate or any exam recognised by I.G. University or equivalent to it. For SC/ST aspirants, 47.5% marks are needed in aggregate.
- M.Sc (Chemistry): B.Sc (Hons.) in Chemistry or B.Sc (Pass) with Chemistry as one of the subjects with minimum 50% marks in aggregate or any exam recognised by I.G. University or equivalent to it. University or equivalent to it. For SC/ST aspirants, 42.75% marks are needed in aggregate.
