Indira Gandhi University Meerpur, Rewari started its functioning on September 13, 2013. University provides different Under Graduate and Post Graduate courses in various branches such as Arts, Science, Information Technology, Computer Science, etc.

IGU, Rewari is provideed MA in 11 various subjects namely English, Sanskrit, Journalism & Mass Communication, Hindi, History, Economics, Political Science, Sociology, Public Administration, Education and Yoga with course period is 2 years.

The application form will be available online on the official website. The basic eligibility for MA courses is Bachelor’s degree with 50% marks in aggregate.

The total seat intake is of 590 with 30 seats each in MA (Education) and MA (Journalism & Mass Communication) while 50 seats in MA (Yoga) and 60 seats each in other courses. Admission to these courses is mostly on the basis of performance in entrance exam organizeed by Kurukshetra University or academic merit.

Indira Gandhi University MA Admission Eligibility Criteria

The at least eligibility criteria for MA admissions is a bachelor’s degree in relevant branch. important; list-style-type:disc">MA (Education): B.Ed. with minimum, 50% marks in aggregate or any other exam recognised or equivalent to I.G.University. Eligibility criteria are detailed below:

  • Bachelor degree/ Shastri examination of a three-year period with minimum 45% marks in aggregate or any other recognised by IGU or its equivalent. for SC/ST aspirants, an aggregate of 47.5% marks is needed).
For SC/ST aspirants, 42.75% marks are an aggregate need.
  • MA (Yoga): Bachelor’s degree in any branch or any other exam recognised or equivalent to IGU with minimum 50% marks in aggregate.
