Gandhigram Rural Institute (GRI), Dindigul is deemed university in the state of Tamil Nadu, established to carry on Mahatma Gandhi’s revolutionary concept of ‘Nai Talim’. Since its establishment in 1956, GRI has been unstintingly contributing to higher education and has successfully pioneered rural higher education. The institute is focused on providing education in the rural education and the courses are designed to work for the better of the rural education and rural industries.

Gandhigram Rural Institute (GRI) offers 4 undergraduate courses, 6 Postgraduate courses, 3 PG Diplomas, 4 Professional Courses and 1 integrated course in the fields of Arts, Education, Science, Engineering and Management. Admission to all the UG programs starts around the end of higher secondary examinations in Tamil Nadu. Admission to the PG courses are made on the basis of entrance tests conducted by the institute.

Gandhigram Rural Institute application Form 2018 will be available on the official website.The application form will be online/offline.The University will provide all application forms of different courses.On April-may 2018  application form will be available on the official website.Candidates must keep the 2 photocopy of the application form, acknowledgment slip and fee payment Challan for future reference.

Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for different courses offered by Gandhigram Rural Institute (GRI) has been explained below:

Master of Education (M.Ed)

Eligibility Criteria:

Candidates need to have passed B.Ed. Examinations with a minimum of 55% marks to be eligible for admission

Age Limit: 25 Years

Eligibility Criteria:

One must be graduate in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks in Part-III of the degree to be eligible to take admission in the MBA program at GRI

M.Phil/Ph.D in Arts & M.Phil/Ph.D in Science

One must have obtained bachelor’s degree in the related discipline to be eligible for admission

For MA (Development Administration) (Integrated): Any candidate who has passed his/her higher secondary examinations is eligible

For other MA Programs: One who has obtained his/her graduation in the field related to the course he/she is applying to, are eligible to apply

By making a cash payment at the office of the Deputy Registrar of academics in person

By sending a written request mentioning the program that you’re seeking admission in and enclosing a crossed demand draft drawn in favor of ‘The Registrar, The Gandhigram Rural Institute-Deemed University’ and made payable in ‘Canara Bank, Gandhigram Rural Institute, Gandhigram (Code No. 8500) or State Bank of India, Ambathurai (Code No.3373) or any nationalized/scheduled bank in Dindigul’.

Cost of Application Including Registration Fee:

Registration Fee for all Diploma / UG / PG/ PG Diploma / Post Diploma PG /M Phil Programmes: Rs. 180 (Rs. 220 by post).

There are no registration fees for applicants belonging to SC/ST categories for any one programme (on producing the attested copy of the community certificate for any one programme).

Admission Process

Admission to all the Master/Post-graduation degree programs will be based on candidates’ performance in the entrance test conducted by the institute.
