Brainware University Kolkata PG and UG Admission 2018

Brainware University is a private university situated near Barasat, West Bengal. It is part of the Brainware group of institutions, a group of AICTE approved private institutions affiliated to West Bengal University.  The institute offers high-quality education in the stream of IT, management and Engineering every year.

Brainware University provides admission to following Under Graduate and Post Graduate programmes:

• BCA
• M.Tech
• MCA
• B.Tech.
• BBA
• BA
• B.Sc
• MBA

Aspirants who possess the relevant qualification can register for the above mentioned Under Graduate and Post Graduate programmes. Seats are reserved for SC/ST/OBC etc. as per the rules of government of India and norms of the institutions.

Aspirants can register for admission by filling in the application form and be submitting the need procedures fee, on or before the last date. Admission to the Under Graduate courses is done on the basis of entrance examination/qualifying degree merit. Aspirants will be shortlisted for Post Graduate courses based on their performance in the entrance examination.

The university provides B.Tech programme in the following branches: Civil/IT/Electrical/Electronics and Communication/Computer Science/Mechanical

Course duration: 4 years

Intake capacity: 60 seats/discipline

• An aspirant must qualify WBJEE 
• An aspirant must be minimum 17 years of age.
• An aspirant must have finished 10+2 in non-medical stream or equivalent  from a valid/recognised  board/institute  with at least 45% marks in aggregate(40% for SC/ST/OBS)

Duration: 2 years

• An aspirant must have qualified MAT (Management Aptitude Test)
• The aspirant must have finished bachelor’s degree from a recognised institute

Aspirants want admission can apply online via the official university website:

1. An aspirant should register online by providing the need information
2. Once the registration is done, the system will send two separate emails giving aspirants User ID and Password on the registered email ID of the aspirant.
3. In the next step, an aspirant should log on with the offered User ID and Password
4. Then, the student should clear the related application form by filling in the accurate and need information
5. Upon filling the form, an aspirant should submit the need application fee through available payment gateways
6. The aspirant must keep a Xerox copy of the application form with them for future reference.

For Under Graduate Programmes

• Aspirants are shortlisted for B.Tech programmes on the basis of merit in the entrance examination WBJEE.
• Aspirants are selected for other Under Graduate courses on the basis of qualifying degree.

For Post Graduate Programmes

• Aspirants for M.Tech programmes are selected on the basis of marks scored in Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE).
• Aspirants are shortlisted for MBA programme on the basis of the score obtained in MAT (Management Admission Test)    
• Aspirants are selected for MCA on the basis of the score obtained in WBJEE (JECA)

• 50% seats are reserved for general category
• 27% seats are reserved for OBC aspirants
• 15% seats are reserved for SC aspirants
• 8% seats are reserved for SC aspirants

Scholarships

Different scholarships offered by GOI like Post matric scholarship, Scholarships for SC/ST/OBC aspirants are available for the deserving aspirants of BGI

Hostel

Separate hostel accommodation is available for the desirous aspirants.
