Established in 1929, Annamalai University is the first private university and one of Asia's largest public residential universities situated in India. The university is one of the first institutions in the country to provide courses of higher education in science, engineering, humanities, agriculture, and arts. A pioneer in imparting quality education, it was taken over by the Tamil Nadu government in 2013 and has emerged as one of the largest public residential university with 10 faculties and 49 departments of study. The university also offers more than 500 courses via distance learning mode.
The university provides the following Under Graduate courses in the field of agriculture:
Only aspirants who have finished 10+2 qualifying examination from a recognized university are qualified for admission to these programmes. Admissions to the B.Sc Agriculture and B.Sc Horticulture programme is done on the basis of the marks scored by the aspirant in their respective qualifying examination (Higher secondary examination).
Aspirants who satisfy the eligibility can register themselves by filling-in the related application form available at the university website. Finished applications should be submitted to the university office, along with the processing fee of Rs. 800/- (Rs. 400/- for SC/ST/SCA aspirants).

The aspirant should have passed 10+2 with a central/state board of examination which is recognized by the branch of study of Annamalai University with a bare minimum of aggregate which is as follows:

Note: If the aspirant has not chosen the first three subjects or fails to qualify via these three subjects, the aggregate marks of the electives will be taken into consideration.
