Mangalore University (MU) is a public university in Konaje, Mangalore, Karnataka. It provides courses in the fields of arts, commerce, science, law, and management. It has 190 affiliated colleges including two constituent colleges. It now has twenty-five postgraduate departments, supported by modern infrastructure and experienced faculty.
The University invites applications for admission to the postgraduate programmes in different fields for the academic year 2018. The application can be obtained via both the online method and the offline method and the duly filled in Application form. The admission for some courses will be via an Entrance Test which will be held by the respective departments.

You should have passed the three-year B.A. degree examination of Mangalore University or any other University with the respective subject as the major/optional subject with an at least of 45% (40% for SC/ST/Category-I aspirants) marks in the subject.
Note: If you have passed the B.A. Ed. Degree Examination (Regional College Scheme), then you are applicable for the Post Graduate Programmes in the Faculty of Arts offered you have secured an at least of 45% (40% for SC/ST/Category I aspirants) marks in the relevant subjects and fulfill other conditions specified for the above programs.
M.Sc
You should have passed the three-year B.Sc. degree examination of Mangalore University or any other University in the same/concerned branch with minimum 45% marks in aggregate.
Master of Library and Information Science [M.Lib], Master of Communication & Journalism (MCJ) & Master of Social Work [MSW]
You should have passed any Bachelor Degree examination of Mangalore University or any other University with an at least of 45% marks (40% for SC/ST/Category-I aspirants) in aggregate including languages and Group III subjects.
Master of Business Administration [MBA], Master of Business Administration [MBA] (Travel & Tourism) & Master of Business Administration [MBA] (International Business)
You should have passed any Bachelor Degree examination of Mangalore University or any other University in any branch with an at least of 50% (45% for SC/ST/category-I aspirants) marks in aggregate including language subjects.
How to apply for PG Courses?

You can obtain the Application form either via the online method or the offline mode.

By Post via Challan/ D.D. The original application should be submitted to the Department first preference
in favor of the Finance Officer, Mangalore University along with a self-addressed envelope (40 X 17 cm) with the name of the course and the subject written on the cover
In Person
Application Fee:
The fee should be paid via a Challan or DD in favor of the Finance Officer, Mangalore University payable only at Mangalagangothri/Mangalore
If ordered by post, Rs. 350 for general category and Rs. 200 for SC/ST/Cat-1 via a Demand Draft in favor of 'Finance Officer, Mangalore University'
Rs. 300 for general category and Rs. 150 for SC/ST/Cat-1
If you need to give the entrance test, a fee of Rs.300 for general category Rs.150 for SC/ST/ Category-I must also be paid.

For other courses: You will be selected on the basis of fulfillment of eligibility criteria.
